    TERRIBLE - Students still waiting for router to be sent after being assured we'd be online in a week. This was the 3rd October. We've been sent a text message saying we will go live on the 28th which for a house of students who didn't want a 12month contract really in the first place but were told this was the only way, and who need internet for studies and deadlines its been a nightmare. Their messages say things like "the current customers at your future property requested a change in date" when we've been moved in since September. Full of lies and the service is a joke.

    Took 6 weeks (and 4 calls each lasting longer than an hour) before they told me that everything they had told me before was wrong, then right, then wrong again.

    I left when they said it was would be another two weeks before I had internet (would have been waiting for a total of 8 weeks!!!!!!!!).

    Their callcentre staff don't do as they say they will and each time you call they have no record of your previous call. They say they'll call you and then don't and just lie about the extra things they need to charge you for (e.g. an Engineer that needs to come, then doesn't, then does, then doesn't).

    Just awful. Very stressful, and ultimately fruitless.

    This is ridiculous...I have a problem with the Internet connection from like a week time and when I finally find a free time to call them one guy "he said he's name is Mark" with is a total lie he told me that I have to check it by myself ....so I have to go to the shop and by a scroll driver and a actually phone so he can check the line ....the thing is that he told me if I don't bye the phone he can't help in a very rude way and this is my problem not his .....Invisible.....unbelievable

    Very bad broadcast. With my husband, we can not use 2 devices in the same time. We called SKY customer support, it was very long and they hang over 3 times! What is more, the SKY help support was enable to help us and instead of trying to find a solution, they told us that it is a problem of our devices...
    We lost one afternoon and no results.
    We have lots of regrets choosing this SKY company. It is a shame.

    We have had a nightmare 10 years with Broadband, ending with an appalling service from Plusnet which had us at breaking point. However, we recently switched to Sky and could not be happier. The broadband switched over exactly as planned and we are receiving 30meg download, 6.33 upload and perfect reliability. To top that, when I called with a query, they offered me Sky+ HD, box sets, set top box and installation completely free for 12 months !! I think all my birthdays and Christmases came at once. Sky have been just amazing to deal with, their advisers are so friendly and helpful and our engineer was just the same. I only wish we had given Sky a chance long before now.

    I know there a lot of bad reviews, but my thinking was that many people feel the need to review (and rightly so) when they receive a poor service, but not many of think to write a positive one when things do go well. I not only believe in better, I now have it too. Thanks SKY.

    Unfortunately constant disconnections, and online gaming lag very poor, unreliable. Do not bother if you want a steady connection.

    I have never found a company more ridiculous at getting things sorted out. I had an engineer round whi advised that the cable coming in from outside and the master phone box are so old that he is surprised they work at all. He advised me to get bt open reach to replace these as it is thier responsibility. Having to go through your provider i phoned sky to ask for this to be done, as i am having a nee kitchen fitted and the wire is behind everything. The advisor on the phone ran a diagnostic and confirmed there is a problem with the outside line but the engineer will not come into my home he will fix this from outside, i explained that i had already had my own engineer instruct as to where the problem was, she then asked me why i didnt get him to replace while he was there, i explained that i pay line rental to bt and it is there job to do this instead of costing me more money. She then accused me of lying and refused to raise for the master box to be replaced until the outside fault has been fixed, when doing the whole thing in one day would form a much better solution, all she kept telling me was this is the system. Sky are a bunch of robbing bastards, quite happy to take all your money and do nothing in return.. And thier customer service skills could make a nun swear. 3 phone calls, 45 minutes at least and i spoke to a human being for all off 5 minutes at each call. Disgusting way to treat the people that line thier pockets.

    Having problems with my ping ,mbs is good but Ping is 151 to 300 paying for fibre unlimited ,tried to complain but got nowhere ,they don't care about ping ,still have copper cable from the 1970 running into house have been told that they are optic fibre wtf,asked to send engineer out but they wouldn't ,Payed for a data company to check my lines,they told me they were copper as I thought,rang back and told Sky,but if you don't work for sky your wrong they told me. Can't cancel stuck with this crap for another 10 month , this is the second time I've been with sky in 10 years both times have been useless , why did I leave virgin,,,,

    Dreadful from onset. They incorrectly took the address during initial ordering and failed to update it even though I confirmed the address an additional 3 times verbally and twice via SMS.

    As I had cancelled with TalkTalk I informed Sky during ordering of the situation. I was told this would be fine and make no difference. 4 days later I receive a SMS stating they can't progress order. Long story short, Sky instructed me to resume the TalkTalk package so they could transfer the service. After a lot of faffing i completed this with TalkTalk and informed Sky on the Friday.

    I was told on the Friday that all was well and the order would progress and should be complete the following Tuesday. Fast forward to Tuesday i've now been told that they automatically cancelled my order Saturday and no one could explain why.

    After almost 10 days of hassle I finally gave up. Cancelled and requested a refund for the full amount charged.

    Managed to order within 10 minutes with Plusnet (online, opposed to the phone). Correct address listed, and ETA's provided.

    STAY WELL CLEAR.

    I moved from Post Office (Talktalk)following dreadful service and bought the Sky Fibre BB and Talk package two weeks ago.My Hub was not delivered on time and the support person was immensely helpful and it was delivered the next day. My speeds were still as before (0.07Mbs evenings)but the fibre tech support chap was amazing and took me through the Hub settings until my speed was over 21Mbs. I am really impressed with the support I've received, so impressed that I've already upgraded to Sky fibre unlimited.
    Are the many complaints a Regionally based thing I wonder as my experience contradicts the majority view.

    11 hours to download 45 min programs on demand or failed ! snow yes wind cloud or rain no .three times so far on phone checking plugs conections ! i can check internet speed and accounts online or tv its very quick haha and easy, couple of hours on phone and i be able to fix it myself next time! i have no telephone now i have standard no frills pakage and internet as good as a chocolate tea pot.their last excuse ? in a whole street my neighbour and me are in the wrong spot for the satalite apparently it misses us and there is no fibre optic so stuff you , got 10 year old boy who has a serious medical condition who downloads from outside a freinds house because the sky satalite says yes xbox off !laptop off ! he so used to it being crap and that aint fair x so so what do i think of my provider after moving and staying a loyal customer STUFF YOU the remote nearly worn after 6 years wonder how much they gonna charge for that seeing as it is sort of a must ....every bloody day for the year and a half youve been with us sky in a negative ignoring sort of way but definatly better off with me

    I thought I received a great broadband deal from sky. After switching broadband from BT to Sky I instantly regret. The broadband speed is ridiculous they can't tell me due to location this is happening. I had BT as my supplier and I had no problem having average speed compared to hardly any from sky. I realise now many people are having problems with the accuracy of speed. My regret is not looking at reviews but now. I wouldn't recommend broadband from Sky only if you're lucky you get a good TV bundle.

    Sky is having all the malpractices with the aim to deceive customer and extort more money. We had renewed the sky contract last year with an offer that Original TV bundle will have 50% discount. However they applied the offer a month before Contract renewal date effectively giving only 11 month offer. Is it not common sense for anyone to apply offer from Contract renewal start date and keep the old offer (75% disc) intact till previous contract end date? I am surprise how the sky representative did this whereas they should have advised and done right thing for customer. It is clear that they hide the fact and do not make customer aware of the contract date, offer date are different and with only aim to extort more and more money from customer. I would not recommend anyone to take Sky connection.

    Total disappointment and a disgrace.
    Customer service is non existent.
    You'll be trying to get through for over 20 minutes at a time and they will not fix the problem.
    They will lie and tell you it is you that is the problem and say it is your equipment that is interfering with the router.
    They will charge you the full amount even though you get no service.
    Avoid if possible. Sky only want your money!

    I left Talk Talk as their customer service was terrible so went to Sky as they were offering a good deal. For the first year the broadband service was acceptable though nothing to write home about. Recently, however, it has become nothing short of atrocious. Speed drops to 0.5kbps while my 4g signal is giving me 12kbps+, the Internet becomes unusable bad I have to reset the router. That lasts for all of 10 minutes and I'm back to square one. Avoid at all costs.

    After 3 weeks of waiting, the engineer who was supposed to set up the connectiom could not do it. No communication from Sky followed. The online experts are not able to answer queries on the matter. Their customer service phone numer is impossible to reach, I've been waiting for 30 minutes now. ABSOLUTE JOKE.

    Broadband speed varies between 0.25mb/sec and 1.8 my/ sec usually on the lower end. BBC I player unwatchable due to excessive buffering . Tried new router and all sky recommendations to no avail. Considering move to Virgin as it runs outside my property

    Consistently awful service. Ridiculously low speeds and dropped connections. Getting through to complaints takes an hour of waiting followed by an interrogation; a fix lasts a day. Attempting to cancel turned into another nightmare -- prevarication, obfuscation, being transferred to different people each of who begins the process from scratch, the strategy is to weary the customer out till they give up. Shocking.

    After waiting 3 weeks to have the new internet installed by an engineer I still have no internet. I took a day off work because we were told by two separate customer service agents that the engineer was booked in that day and it was essential they have access to the home. By 5pm no sign of an engineer so I phoned sky only for them to tell us we didn't need an engineer after all and they can do it remotely. FUMING!! Useless customer service who just lie to you! Can't comment on broadband speeds as it still isn't working....

    As an ex customer of talk talk...oh the horror the unrelenting horror...Sky has been hassle free.. to my amazement if there's a problem...dodgy line locally...rather than endlessly prevaricate, or attempt to placate you with a written script they actually resolve it... speed is adequate given this area...and the very few times I've had to speak with them...their clear precise and friendly...so felt it was worth relating this

    Holy fish ultimately slow and unstable internet connection. In terms of the frequency the connection would be disconnected once per half an hour, fluctuate speed once per 10 seconds.

    Barely cannot even watch Youtube. And, in addition, unbelievably human movement would interrupt Wifi connection

    I have been having some issues with my broadband for months now. On previous call was promised a call back which did not happen. My broadband now worse than ever. Phoned again and spoke with a very nice man being SCA58. He called back went promised, done all the checks and I'm nit having an engineer out in just 2 days. He has restored my faith on sky and such a pleasure to speak to and very thorough with alk that he done. This man certainly deserves recognition, and other advisers need to learn from him. Thankyou so much for all your help, you was an absaloute star.

    Do not know what to say. Customer service from sky is excellent. Ordered tv and Sky Fibre optic unlimited package. Was expecting to get 40mbs. I am lucky to get 2mbs. It is so slow and randomly disconnects. I used to have Virgin broadband - who were fantastic to say the least. 50mbs nearly everyday. Unfortunately they do not provide a service to where I have moved. Stuck for 12 months. Surely they cannot advertise 40mbs and only provide 2mbs?

    I moved last month from my beloved Plusnet to Sky Broadband and Talk. I need my head feeling. First off, my order was placed but it stated four weeks to install/activate. When I rang and queried this, the lovely lady on the phone said something like 'no problem, I'll just cancel your order, re-start your order and get what's called a 'cold line' installed within two days'. Yippee I said! Four weeks later, the line was installed. Shocking. So a total of two weeks without a phone line and broadband. And now, a week in, the line never achieves more then 3mbps...! Its currently 2.20mbps. Plusnet, 8mbps or more, constantly. Sky states it takes 10 days for it to 'settle'. Er, what?! Just stick it to the maximum the line allows! This is 2016, not 1916! Man has walked on the Moon, yet you take 10 days to sort the line out?! Oh, PLEASE! Plusnet, ALWAYS, from DAY ONE, constant 8mbps or above...! I regret the day I left Plusnet. Regret!

    This service is absolutely disgusting i would not recommend this to anyone the customer service is rubbish i swapped to fibre and its running at the same speed as normal broadband what a joke its been 2 months and still not sort i am taking this further as they are not providing the service you are paying four, such a big company and they dont care all they say is you are in contact well if its not sorted my direct debit will be cancelled they can stick it i pay for all the channels aswell cost a fortune and get treated like that its not acceptable giving one star to this company is to much

    AWFUL SERVICE YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO LEAVE. I'm normally nice but I could honestly kill someone I'm so angry and upset. It's like talking to a brick wall. They also won't accept a hand written signed letter as confirmation of termination so still had to go through it all again 9 months I've tried to cancel

    A truly awful experience with SKY.I was with O2 before & got passed over.The connection fails almost every day.I can not afford the top package but I am paying for rubbish.Just today the connection failed during a job application.You can imagine my frustration.

    One of the worst broadbands that I have been with, it can't withstand having 4 people connected to the Internet at the same time without cutting off, it takes about 10 minutes to load one thing, and it's constantly not working!

    Called Sky regarding broadband dropping out every few minutes. On phone with Helpline for nearly hour. They finally advised they would need to send Sky Engineer but it would take 7 days! Sky should be banned from trading.

    Disgusting company. Took out a deal one day, found out that my mum had got a better deal the next day so asked them to match it. But couldn't, in fact they wanted me to pay over twice as much. Unhelpful.

    Absolutely appalled by the customer service. Been with the company 18-19 years had all the stuff and pay over the odds to have it. One month where we have asked for help and they have not even tried to help. Do not recommend.

    What a joke this Mickey Mouse service is, the router resarts itself every 5 minutes. I have phoned sky up many times, I have had 3 brand new routers and still no fix. And engineer comes out, his report was that I need an engineer out... Sky internet is an absolute disgrace, and shocking customer service is awful.. Whatever you do guys, DO NOT USE SKY INTERNET

    I left Sky for another broadband supplier and before I did so, I called Sky about the money left in my account which should be refunded to my account after I left. The customer officer said that the system would do so automatically but there was nothing happened. I called Sky and another officer told me that the system would never process this automatically and customers need to call Sky to get their money back. I write this for your information. Best regards

    Friday night, no signal, 57 min on the phone with the no skilled technician to tell me that an engineer needs to come in but not available over the weekend and had to wait until Monday. Bad service. I cancelled my subscription.
