Everyone reviews for bad experiences. I've been with Vodafone for the best part of a year and it's been a very good and reliable year. The router is reliable and has good range within my 3 bed house. I can stream seamlessly and I can't actually think of a single time it has done the annoying "buffering" thing! Customer service when I called over the last 2 days has been excellent - fair and not pushy at all. Overall I've been pleased with Vodafone's broadband.

I must say I was a little apprehensive about changing my broadband supplier. However I must say that I have been pleasantly surprised with service I have received. I placed my order online a few weeks ago and chose the date in which I wanted to switch. I was then kept informed regularly by email of my order. My router arrived a few days before the switch with no problems. On switch day I came home at 2pm not expecting the internet to be up and running at that time as I was told it could take up until midnight. However it was already switched over and ready to go. I had a minor issue with the router password which was swiftly dealt with by the customer service team. Overall I am very happy with the experience. The online chat is also very good and is readily available if you have any queries. The speed of the internet seems absolutely fine so far with no drop-outs as yet. So yes very pleased I switched

Just changed to vodaphone from EE last week. The engineer moved the copper line and put fibre into the front of the house. I can no longer get internet to the back of the house. The engineer at the time says phone vodaphone and they will send you out a couple of boosters! So I call..an hour and half on phone being passed around and they won’t send out boosters. I can’t return to EE as they have removed the copper cable. So I’m left with rubbish WiFi that doesn’t reach the back of the house..not a huge house..regular 3 bed semi!! It’s more expensive than with EE..thought I’d get better connection and better service, been with them less than a week and it’s a nightmare. Absolute rubbish!!

Came home from work to discover Vodafone Broadband is not working. I will try to keep it short, below outlines the appalling service:

Weds 1st - i called to report a fault and spoke to Rob he tried to resolve the issue, had me unscrewing wall boxes etc for over 2 hours. He could not resolve the issue so advised he would have to escalate the problem to the Tech dept which could take 48hrs.

Fri 3rd - having heard nothing and Broadband still not working I called & spoke to a woman who advised me that she had just been advised the system was down and had been for 2 hours and could be down for the rest of the day! I asked, how long she had been at work, she confirmed most of the eve, so i explained that surely she would have known the system was down unless she had been skiving for the last two hours and as a result i believed she was lieing to me, she didnt know what to say! She advised me that she could not help. I requested a Manager call me, she told me Managers do not talk to customers before having 24 hrs to investigate any issues! I asked if the Tech dept were open over the weekend, she confirmed the Tech dept were open until 9pm on weekends. She also advised me (even though the system was apparently down) That Rob, who i had initially spoke to on Weds 1st had failed to raise the fault request correctly and so a new request had to be raised.

Sat 4th spoke to a guy at approx 6:20pm in the hope of talking to the Tech dept but he advised that the Tech dept closed at 6pm and there was nothing he cld do, i explained i was told on Fri that the Tech Dept worked until 9pm and i was not happy, he suggested i cld change suppliers!

He then advised that my fault report had been 'picked up' and the update was that my line was showing that i was connected to a BT Hub and so possibly had a crossed line! He assured me he would get someone to call me on Sun.

Sun 5th spoke a woman who told me my fault report had been worked on by an Engineer but she cld not up date me! The Tech Dept were still open but the Engineer dealing with it was not available! She agreed to get a Manager to call me by close of business to update me. She advised me not to work from home on Mon and if i had not heard anything by 9pm on Mon i shld not plan to work from home on Tues either!

Mon 6th called Customer Relations - after apologising for the terrible service and assuring me she would get my issues resolved I was transferred to a Tech Manager who was useless, he repeated what i had been told on Sat, apparently my wifi was connected to a BT Hub so there was possibly a crossed line, however, the Engineer dealing with my fault was unavailable and so there was nothing that cld be done until 7th Tues. I asked to be put back through to Customer Relations as i felt i had achieved nothing! He didnt have the ability to do so, so gave me the Tel No. for Mobile phone complaints!

I called Customer Relations using the Tel No i had used previously to find they were closed!

7th Tues I called Customer Relations, after many apologies, they put me through to a chap in a Dept (not sure which one). He started off telling me that I had not received a call back from anyone because it takes 24hrs to update a Tel No and i had apparently updated my Tel No on the 5th, i told him that was rubbish as Rob had called me on weds 1st on both my landline & mob, just another excuse for lack of comms! He then spoke to the Tech Dept and apparently, Amy told him that there had been a number of outages (not in my area) that had caused a back log, my ticket had been picked up but not actioned. After a rant from me, he went back to Tech Dept.
then asked me what hub i had I confirmed I had a Vodafone Hub.
I was then passed on to Alex Lead Advisor in leeds on Karls Team he advised that a Tech person would call me today and that he would call me back at 4pm to confirm i had received a call.

7th Tues - 11:10 am - William 2nd Line, Tech Team Manager in Scotland called to explain that apparently, a BT Engineer had worked on our local box on Thurs 2nd Feb to set up a new BT line in the area and had disconnected my line! I explained my I had reported my fault on Weds 1st so how could that be, i was advised their work logs only go back so many days so work by a BT Engineer could have been carried out on the 1st!!!! Ultimately, an engineer will need to visit my property to trace the line!

An appointment is booked for Thurs 9th!

This has been an absolute nightmare, I have spent hours on the phone and every call bar 1 has been instigated by me! I have missed 3 days work from not being ablevto work from home, I have been lied to, promised call backs and still failed to speak to a Manager and apparently, it is BT's fault! My advice is to Stick with paying line rental and stay with a company that has a better Customer Service record because Vodafones is truly appalling!

When we first joined Vodafone we were getting around the advertised 30+ speed. Recently the speed has dropped alarmingly some days, when we struggle to get anything done. Now it sits around the 20 level all the time. We have never had such low speeds from any other suppliers since we started to get fibre. Unfortunately we have quite a while to run on our contract. Avoid Vodafone if you want reliable so-called super fast broadband.

I switched from BT to Vodafone, big mistake, on activation day, no broadband, called them to be promised that day or next neither happened, was promised engineer on 3rd day, that didn’t happen either, decided I didn’t want to be one of their customers, customer services communication, appalling, was left with no internet, could not operate my apps on phone, my central heating was on full heat, could not switch off without the app, have gone back to bt, word of warning avoid Vodafone.

Absolutely fuming, router was supposed to be delivered 6/12 as engineer coming on 11/12. Contacted vodafone on 10/12 to ask where router was, it will be here tomorrow. This afternoon contacted again, told its on its way, it will be with you today. Just phoned to make a complaint as still no router. On phone 25 mins to be told there is something wrong with my order regardless of loads of emails from Vodafone saying everything done and ready blah blah blah. Told I have to phone back tomorrow and speak to the relevant dept. I asked why I have been lied to twice, he tried to say I hadn't been lied to, I stood my ground and said twice I was told it would be here today and its not. He agreed I had been lied to. I have been a Mobile customer for 20 years with no issues. Well done Vodafone, you have now lost a customer. Oh and I'm being charged for a service i can't use!!!! Be warned people.

We have had Vodafone for our broadband for about 18 months. In that time we have had 2 occassions with loss of connectivity. I have to say that the Vodafone customer service and technical support, at both times, has been fantastic. Everyone I spoke to over the phone regarding the issues have been friendly, helpful and proactive aiming to get the problem fixed quickly. Vodafone sent out a BT technician within 24 hours of our complaint and also sent out a new router quickly. At no point have Vodafone 'blamed BT' or 'blamed us' which we used to hear all the time when we had broadband with TalkTalk (TalkTalk's customer service was so appalled I twice resorted to crying - not cool but true). I have been more than happy with the switch we made to Vodafone and will continue using them.

By far, the most incompetent broadband provider I've come across in the UK. Steer clear from them! Their lack of action on their own committed communication over the phone is astonishing. Take my advice and avoid them. Try any other option and you'll be thanking me later.

Recent reliabilty issues, disconnected for 2+ weeks in October and again for 10 days over Christmas. Not all Vodafones fault, the incompetence ofsome of Openreach's engineers account for some of this. However, the appalling service from most of Vodafone's support team has finally made me decide to terminate my contract with them. Several times calls were ended, online chat the same and various promised follow ups - referrals on never materialised. They seem to think that now they have a larger share of the market customer service has gone by the by.

initially they canceled the first order without telling. so had to go through the whole process again. when i eventually received the router it has been terrible since day 1 constantly dropping out every 20 mins or so for the last 2 weeks, we were given a guaranteed minimum speed of 73mbps, when i can actually use the internet i have tested it at between 10 and 30mbps i have spoken to then they have had me change a number of settings on the router that has made absolutely no difference at all. i have resorted to using my mobile data as the broadband just drops so much and i cant ever do anything. i will be calling in the morning to cancel. i would strongly recommend you do not switch to vodafone.

Switched from copper with Now TV to fibre with Vodaphone expecting better speed. Lost use of landline for two weeks; broadband slower and constantly dropping out. We now need to buy a booster to make inadequate router signal travel 20 feet, because Voda refuse to provide one. Customer service obdurant. Don`t use.

Speed down to 2mbps called about it several times without a resolve. Hid the fact that I was out of contract. No solutions offered. Guaranteed speed was supposed to be 25mbps with a discount of 15% if it falls below. Nothing offered. Overseas customer service agents take too long to understand problems.

Been with them for 2 months following their promise of speed or discount. But all I've had is an unstable internet service and promised from multiple people who must just follow the same old script that still won't resolve the issue. Online chat, phoning and emailing gets you nowhere. Trust me if you're getting good enough broadband don't consider moving just because the price looks good. You will regret moving to Vodafone!!

I do live in an urban area in Devon with poor Broadband speeds per default. The switch to Vodafone went smooth and also the broadband speeds are fine (depending on the length of my line to the exchange). However the router re syncs upto 5 times a day. The line is long but stable and recently tested by BT. I did not have any issues with plusnet before the switch. This is something which is a no-go for anyone who needs reliable broadband. All streamings, chats, online-games will be disconnected. Please do your homework and get your Network going. Vodafone was a warrant for reliability in the past. But it looks the time is now over.

We tried a number of other providers and they all provide a cheap router which doesn"t even get the signal upstairs (we bought a booster), every Thursday the service grinds to a halt and its a total waste of time trying over the weekend. Like the VW emissions scam Im sure the providers falsify the speed tests as we can even run a movie from Thursday onwards yet the speed tests shows its just above their service contract level. Total scam, then when you call customer services they put you through the same monkey tests every time as if your an idiot, we go through these every fecking day without being patronised by someone reading from a script in India. Its a total rip off, we wont be renewing with Vodafone thats for sure.

Over the years I've had a lot of experience in trying out a number of different Broadband packages and each time have been terribly disappointed, until now. Our area suffers from having old style BT line connections with a great deal of inertia on the part of BT to change things unless of course you happen to be buying their service for much greater than the average market price.

Every previous attempt over the past decade has led to similar results with poor download speeds and a pretty mundane response from the provider.

In desperation I turned to Vodafone, with whom I have my mobile service, and who are now offering a good deal on Superfast Broadband with a guaranteed minimum speed. When I contacted them to explain my connection problems they assured me it would not be a problem to them and I would be able to achieve a Superfast service. Initially, however that did not prove correct as, on the connection date the Open Reach engineer discovered there were no spare Superfast ports available in our BT service box.

Within minutes of finding this out I received a call from Vodafone Customer Services explaining the issues and with an immediate alternative temporary internet solution to keep me connected while they sorted it out with BT and Open Reach.

In the space of the next seven days I had updates aplenty from Vodafone and then they achieved what others had failed to do - I had a Superfast connection.

Never in more than a decade of other providers, including Talk Talk (abysmal twice), Plus Net (twice), Sky and John Lewis (which is Plus Net in disguise I think) have I ever had this level of service, nor the results I was seeking.
In the past my average download speeds were a pitiful 2Mbps if I was lucky. Now since Voadfone its averaging 21.5 MBps, more than ten times better.

To top that the Vodafone router is amazing. It's robust and efficient with what I believe they call Beaming technology. Before we could not use Wifi in our garden yet now we have connections all the way to the back of it and even inside a summerhouse which is a good 30 metres away from teh router, with little impact on download speed.

Am I pleased? You bet! Thank you Vodafone. Never before have I been able to write a review for anything which is as glowing as this one. But please keep it up for all those others out there who like me have been through hell and back with some of the other less effective providers.

0 stars, worst broadband I have ever experienced and we had talk talk back in their bad days. Good luck maintaining a connection for more than an hour if you’re gaming. So crap man. I never do reviews like this but Vodafone is truly the worst broadband I have ever known to exist. Doesn’t connect and if it does, it takes 10 years to launch anything

I haven't even received by broadband yet, it was delayed a week, then cancelled and I wasn't informed, and now I've just spent 5 hours on calls to get it set up for two weeks from now, when it was supposed to be working today (or a week ago even).

To add insult to injury, the offer that I took when I went for the package has been withdrawn since, so even though it wasn't my fault, Vodafone won't give me the original price and now I'm even having to pay more, on top of the longer wait, and the hours upon hours wasted on calls and the useless chatbot.

Avoid if you can. If you can't, I wish you luck.

    Absolutely Awful.
I thought that combining my mobile and broadband provider would make life easier. Wrong. Things started badly when Vodafone changed my landline number without informing me (I subsequently found out that the number was allocated to someone else). That took a week to resolve. Since then I have experienced multiple issues trying to log on to my account (all I want to do is get a copy of my bill) and each time it seems to take 2 to 5 days to resolve the problem. Will not be renewing my contract.

Absolutely woeful. Moved to vodafone as they were marketed as the only provider for upcoming FTTP provisions in our area. Not installed yet so still running FTTC and no end of problems. Adequate for the first month then it became evident their network and hardware are not up to scratch. The latest and greatest router they offer cannot manage multiple devices, apparently 9 is too many. Hours spent on chat and phone to “support” who run through the same nonsense processes every time, clearly not making adequate notes. Keep being told it’s because I have too many devices running, my house is the wrong shape and the wrong material etc. have thrown in the towel and now have Sky due to provide FTTP via a nice new openreach cable next week. And being charged for the privilege of early termination despite them failing to provide what we pay for- will be taking that up with the ombudsman when I have time. In summary, do not bother with Vodafone.

They were cheap and you get what you pay for. The speed is OK, but the router is rubbish with constant Wi-Fi dropouts. Customer service are pretty hopeless, clearly script bound to refuse to admit to a well documented problem. I am currently getting round the problem with a borrowed TP Link router, but shouldn't have to.

    Abysmal. Just abysmal...

I took up Vodafone broadband as I was a mobile customer too, but this service was so bad it has lead me to leave Vodafone fully as a customer.

At first the broadband would work for 30 secs before dropping out for 45sec, this then grew to 90secs of dropout. After a week I'd had enough, I have never experienced this with broadband. Completely unusable. I went with another leading provider within 14 days cooling off period.

I will stick with one of the big names sadly as it will cost more. But the broadband service provided is much more reliable.

Arranged installation by Vodaphone from CityFibre network. Engineer arrived and said they could not connect the property to the line running along the pavement. Old broadband cancelled from this. Then told they would have to cancel the order and i could reorder. I reluctantly agreed to then be told today the service is not avaiable to my property despite it being offered on both websites.I have had many hours wasted by these jokers. Stay clear of these jokers. I now have to go back to BT at a far slower speed.

Had it o ver a year and they won't let me get out the best I received has been 50mbps when we are expected 77mbps spend over 48hours total on the phone and not a single employee seems to give a crap about the terrible service they provide.
So if you have to call them bare in mind you'll be on the phone a while and be hung up on for no reason which then they leave a mark on your account to treat you like crap!

First time customer of fibre broadband with Vodafone. Wish I had never transitioned - so very very unreliable - when it is good (rarely) very very good but mostly it is bad. Customer Service are very polite and have tried numerous 'fixes' none of which have worked. Am locked in for 2 years and I am exhausted already. 5 mins to attach a document to an email to send. Denied access to bank - took too long to connect etc. etc. Shut out from paying for an item, when I finally got to checkout. So wish I had not done this - regular traditional ADSL was just fine.....

ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO CANCEL, AWFUL INTERNET SPEED - DO NOT SIGN UP

Speed dropped to unusable levels after a year of good service. Turns out Vodafone no longer provide a service in my area so have no interest in maintaining a service.
Switched to Community Fibre (highly recommended if you can use them) who run a new full fibre line so have to cancel Vodafone separately.
In short over two days I have made or received 4 calls, have spent over 2 1/2 hours on the phone, spoken to 8 people, been cut off twice, one person told me the team I needed to speak to were too busy, the second told me they'd stopped working (after being cut off from the first call where I was waiting in a queue, 2nd time this has happened).
Now I have to call back again tomorrow, genuinely the worst customer service I have ever been unfortunate enough to be subjected to.
    STAY WELL WELL AWAY

Awful, don't waste your time! We switched from BT to Vodafone after a good offer was emailed to me because I am a Vodafone mobile customer. After 2 weeks, I had still not received a router so I had to call up to find out what was going on. They offered to send another one out or I could go into a Vodafone store and pick it up, which I thought would be the best option to ensure I get it on time as my 'go live' date was now only a few days away. Went into Vodafone store to collect it only to find the staff in there could not authorise and activate the router. They had to call customer service and after waiting 30 minutes for them to get through to someone I walked out as I had wasted enough time with this already. I called up to cancel the deal as I was no longer interested in going with Vodafone after this. However a few days later I was still receiving emails and texts from Vodafone telling me my service will be activated soon! I phoned up yet again to establish if the service had been cancelled. They assured me it has however the next day I signed up with Plusnet and they sent me a message telling me they could not complete the order because Vodafone still have a stop on the line! Just unbelievable and really wish I had not gone with Vodafone. Needless to say, I will be also cancelling my vodafone mobile contract because of this.
