Absolutely abysmal. Post Office Broadband are actually directly dishonest with you. They tell you there are no limitations. Yet when i tried to use Morpheus and other streaming services - they would not allow me to use it. Um - thatis MY chouce to make. NOT THEIRS!
Secondly, when using my Firestick (i only have this and two mobile phones) and stream my favourite shows/films there - PO Broadband deliberately strangle your wifi, repeatedly interrupting your viewing, slowing it right down and causing problems with buffering, ie: no buffering at all, even if you leave it for 5 minutes.
They are sneaky, dishonest and underhanded. The internet speed also mysteriously slows right down, if you are late paying your bill.
No company should have the power to do this. This infringes on consumers' personal greedom of choice and it's disgusting.
But many companies do do this, lying to consumers that they have no control, which is utter horsefeathers.
I am in the process of reporting this to Ofcom and to Watchdog. Others should do the same.
Post Office is as bad as EE!

Absolutely shocking company, moved home was told phone and broadband will be connected, 1 week later and I still have no service, I am 82 and depend on my phone, sent an engineer round to connect me which he then said there is a problem, after he left I went into my bedroom and my handbag had gone. I contacted them to inform them and they said it’s nothing to do with them. I cancelled my contract and then the next day received a voicemail to say an engineer is coming on the Wednesday to finish the job, they haven’t got a clue on how to run a business, DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY.

Absolutely shocking broadband connection and speed. It drives me crazy. I did complain because there's no connection at all several times a day and was told there was nothing wrong with the line. Unhelpful.

For the price this is a decent isp. Me and partner live in a 1-bed flat and the speed is great for what we need. We stream tv often and it handles it well, some occasional lapses but this is expected with broadband and it’s no worse than any other broadband. Speed is usually around 10-15 mps download but that’s very reasonable for the price (we do live near the exchange which helps though!). It’s also easy to find out when bills are taken and the 1 year contract is great as we have a 1 year lease on our flat. All in all very good for what we pay for, we could be paying a lot more with other companies for very little difference in speed and reliability.

My advice? STAY AWAY FROM POST OFFICE BROADBAND. I have it installed in a second home, where it's used for five days per month, but the router is switched on permanently. Went ok for some months, then Post Office upgraded us to fibre 'for free' - we didn't want it, but it was imposed on us. Shortly after that, the contract expired - and we had a large price increase imposed on us! Called them to complain, and they said they'd get someone to call me back. Callbacks never materialised - I've checked my mobile log and they have not tried to call me. Meanwhile, the latest bill is up by another £5 - it's now almost £10 per month on top of what it used to be, and they say that they can't revert it back to cable. I'm looking for another ISP.

Switched to Post Office Broadband in 2016, as a response to BT continually upping their prices. I think I've made a mistake. The broadband is about as slow as it can get without actually stopping completely. Customer service is reasonable, once they've answered the phone - which can take some time.

My mum wanted cheaper wifi and to save money so bought this one - constantly makes me frustrated as I cannot do homework effectively from home with awful connectivity. (Have been waiting to send a snapchat for 20 mins, will play no videos without buffering etc) - I am 16 and would rather her spend my pocket money on decent wifi rather than this, and usually resort to using 3G or 4G at home rather than out and about

Please only get this if you have deep seated internal anger and you feel like you need to have a viable reason for smashing something in your immediate vicinity. Only good for posting letters.

Customer service is very poor. I was without a landline & broadband for nine days because of a failure to activate the system. My contract of one year has recently expired & I changed supplier. Now they are trying to charge me £25 for terminating my contract early- I will pay my final bill but not the additional charge. Shell have now taken over from the Post Office- things can only get better...

Absolutely horrendous broadband service. I have been without any Internet for the past 6/7 months and emailed stating this but have had nothing done to resolve this issue. This has meant my daughter has missed out on her education, I have missed out on work and important medical appointments via zoom. So I have been paying £18 a month for an Internet service that hasn't given me Internet. I'm pretty sure their contract states that they're an Internet provider and will ensure customers have the Internet access they are paying for so surely they should be providing this Internet service. Each time I've emailed they have responded that they have found no problem yet from my end there has clearly been a problem otherwise I wouldn't have got in contact over the fact the Internet has not worked. Massively disappointed and angered at the service and 'resolution' they have supposedly offered and I will be making sure i tell anyone looking into purchasing broadband to avoid the post office at all costs. Absolutely disgusted, particularly with how important the Internet has been over this past year.

I recently changed to post office broadband as this was the best deal on the comparison website.
I have needed to contact them 6 times over the past 3 weeks. Emails take up to 5 days to be responded to and calls take between 20-30 minutes to be answered.
My internet on my laptop is slow.
My experience has been very negative and I would warn anyone against signing up to post office broadband.

They cancelled my order without authorisation but still happy to debit my account. Beggars belief how they are able to get away with it.

Absolutely disgusting treatment of a customer! Been with them for a year and while the service was mostly ok for the price, suddenly my bill jumped from £20 to £37! £37 just for internet and a phone line I've never used, no tv or other extras. When I contacted them about it they told me it's because I've come to the end of my contract. I was told I would have the £17 refunded if I agreed to sign another contract with them. Its 2 days before my payday and I have an 11 week old baby and that money was set aside for formula as I explained to them but was told that is the only way I would get the money refunded and would have to wait a minimum of 5 days for the refund. What good is that to me and why would I sign another contract with them if this is how they treat their customers? So now my baby has no formula. Thank you very much! And the woman kept saying she was trying to help me! I worked in tele sales and trust me, this is NOT helping. Both people I spoke to over the phone were extremely patronising and really didn't care about the situation they'd left me in. Customer service is beyond appalling. Avoid these scumbags.

0 STARS. Save your sanity and stay clear! Nearly as bad as Barclays customer service!!

Post Office are the worst broadband provider overall. It is slow, drops out mutiple times a day and eventually gives up.

Left without internet for up to 3 weeks every time as they take about 2 weeks to get and engineer to the property and then another week to post a new WiFi box and adapter.

Been with them 12months and had 3 engineers out to my property only to be told it's a fault with the WiFi box and it's needs replacing which post office refuse to replace unless and engineer attends the property and tells them to.

Every customer service agent tells you something different - they don't know what they are doing. Or, they book engineer appointments only for them not to turn up and then you are told "no appointment was booked but hers one for another 10 days time".

I haven't had an internet connection since the beginning of September. I have phoned numerous times and are promised new routers, line tests, return calls and engineer visits which never happen. The staff couldn't care less and keep blaming me. I have had all the wiring from the front door to the router replaced so it isn't this. I am at my wits end so have emailed the CEO. I'm not holding my breath though. Steer clear of the Post Office and their services.

Was not sure about changing from BT after reading reviews, BT kept increasing prices but the service was good.

I spoke to Post Office about reviews who pointed out that most other providers reviews were just as bad, I decided to give it a go, after all saving over £30.00 a month is very tempting.

After a month I am pleased, the changeover went without a hitch, my BT service shut down in the evening, I plugged the router in next morning signed into WIFI and everything was up and running, a little slow for the first few days.

Checking download speed with speedtest.net shows that I am getting a consistent 15 mbit per second, about half the speed that I had from BT, this however is not noticeable in day to day use.

I think it is a shame that we have to go to the trouble of changing provider to get a good deal, no thought to customer loyalty.

Only transferred to post office on 11th October and already I wish I'd stayed with BT. Only had internet for about 5 or 6 hours in that time. Excuse after excuse from rude technical supporters. Refused to let me cancel my verbal contract unless I paid 3 months charges. Said they would send a technician to try to fix the fault but the call out fee would be £144 ! It's working at the moment but if it goes off again I'll ring Ofcom. Sick of dealing with the so called customer service team, they're a joke

DON’T GET POST OFFICE BROADBAND WORST EVER. Internet connection cut 5 times within an hour. On my home VPN app, it is stated that connection is restricted by the internet services provider. I called them today to complaint and try to end the contract. After my call, within 35 minutes internet connection dropped 7 times. And they are saying there is nothing they can do for the termination of the contract and they are not willing to help.

Worst provider in UK. My download speed is 1.5 Mb since the beginning of my contract. Customer service is friendly but they can't do anything. I'm going to complain to the ombudsman. This reminds me the times you had to dial on the phone to get online. The service drops without notice, well, really a disaster. Users and customers don't have any right nowadays, which is nothing but hidden crime. Avoid this please, it's the worst thing I have experienced in more than 20 years.

Until recently, a useable service but it has become vitually unuseable and their tech support are both clueless and useless. Every call mights as well be the first and I have wasted hours, with nothing more than frustration to show.

I understand that they have changed from BT wholesale to Talk Talk - need I say more.

I pay for a premium unlimited service yet frequently I get less than 1Mbps and during evenings and weekends, the connection repeatedly fails. Absolutely hopeless.

I have just requested MAC code to leave. AVOID like the plague.

Dont be fooled, they might be the cheapest option around but that is simply because they provide no service whatsoever. I got grossly misinformed regarding my router go live date (on 3 occasions!!)and therefore missed a few days of work because of them! Not only that but apparently I am entitled to no compensation as in their eyes "it is not their fault if some of their employees read out the go live date wrong". On top of that my router had been sent to the wrong address at the start.
Please avoid, or you'll have yourself stuck in a 12 month contract with those idiots.

Please Please Please do NOT choose this appalling post office broadband if you value your sanity. I have NEVER in all my life been so stressed with broadband! I sometimes work from home and I left Talk Talk who I thought were shocking. If I could give you -0 stars I would. I have lost track of how many times I have called customer services as broadband is SO slow under 1mps and I have to keep reconnecting ever 2-3 mins and so far today 10 mins to open my emails! I’ve had new routers, engineers booked in and never had an appointment, I travel with work and cannot sit at home all day waiting for you to sort it out!! I cannot wait for this contract to end. Post Office you should be ashamed of yourselves. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!.

Absolutely dire customer services, short tempered staff. Complete mess up to my transfer to another provider whilst my daughter is cramming for a'levels - and we will have no broadband for 9 days ! Insane

    Absolutely appalling!
By far the worst broadband I have ever experienced (or even heard of).
I can get up to half a megabit on a good day but in the evenings the speed drops to 20 kilobits, if it works at all.
Don't be fooled by deals that sound good - post office broadband isn't worth having.
    You have been warned!!!!

Diabolical service. Speed varies from 0.25mB to 6mb. had the engineer out over 6 times, he finds no fault! The line drops out every 10 minutes, with a 1-2 minutes wait to reconnect. To cap it all tonight I call them and 20 minutes later they still cannot confirm my account!
She insisted a line test wasn't possible from her end as I had to do it! I don't know how I would do that. I cannot tell you the trouble we've had with them. Do yourself a favour and use another ISP because these people are just the worst company I've ever dealt with in my life.
