Origin offers a good price for broadband services. I have a low requirement so opted for 17MB speed which when working is fine, however, lately i have found the service poor during the day which may bevdue to Outreach working on the system?
The help line was very helpful on the occasion that I needed them, extremely patient whilst sorting me out.

It doesn't have to be huge company with cheesy adverts on TV to provide a huge service. I've not had any trouble I know of and if you don't need to contact customer services [and you shouldn't], then its obviously working well and it has for me.

A great start, very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Has on occasions taken a while to get through to someone. Start up billing was a bit confusing. Simple instructions to get going.

Simple and easy to sign up, didnt need router, so comprehensive details were supplied for own router set up. On line consultation with operator, good and connected within 2 minutes.
So far, connection has been uninterrupted.

Overall, great. Onshore help, speeds as offered, affordable prices. So much better than BT, Three and Talk Talk. It would be a full set of 5s if the tech crew cheered up a bit.

Loss of connection several times a day for no apparent reason,
customer service take forever to get in touch with , when you are in touch they try basic setting tests but nothing gets resolved.

DO NOT TOUCH THEM! Their adverts are misleading. They DO charge setup costs and take a 'deposit' when you place the order, which is against the 14 day 'cool off' period set by ofcom.
We cancelled, but they haven't refunded us. They sent out the router AFTER cancellation either incompetence or by way of keeping our deposit. Their customer services are trained only to give excuses, not results, and certainly not help.
We cancelled because we had to chase them at every point. We would have been left without a service at all if we hadn't sort help from Virginmedia who we were moving from but remain with because of this awful excuse of an ISP.
DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME, OR YOUR MONEY!
They are Unreliable Charlatans!

They promised 6.5mbps but we are lucky if we get half that. Their waiting times on the phone and in chat lines are abysmal. Their communication is poor. Waited in all day for an OpenReach engineer who never showed and Origin couldn't tell us why. An engineer showed up a few days later and checked all the internal wiring. The line was reset and was ok for a couple of days. Now it is back to half speed. Nothing has been changed inside. There is no improvement to the speed when wired to the test socket. I can't understand why Origin can't just get it sorted without an engineer having to have access to the property (if and when they turn up) and without the threat of being charged for the engineer. Suggest you avoid.

Just joined them. Not even a confirmation email. Doubled my exchange speed to 76Mbps and getting a quarter the speed of my old 38Mbps contract. Yes, early days and it needs to settle, but it isn't looking good. They told me to wait a couple of weeks, which unsurprisingly takes me beyond the cooling off period. I cancelled. They seem dodgy with poor organisation and have a lack of coherent advice. Avoid.

Origin are the worst broadband provider I have ever dealt with. Have now been waiting for 6 weeks for internet. I organised 3 engineer visits, and an engineer showed up on 1 of the 3 occasions. Their communication is appalling - no updates, no apologies for messing up, everyone told us conflicting information - just absolutely awful. Then tried to leave and the handed me a £600 bill. Honestly, avoid at all costs!

Worst connection I’ve ever had.
Decided to change from the post office net after years of keeping with them. Their prices were going up constantly and the speed was slowing down so decided to change. Was a bit concerned at first having heard a few bad things about switching over to origin. But decided the price should be worth it in the end. I was very wrong. When I first got it, it was a bit off but understandable in the first 2-3 weeks. After that I have had my net cut out on average 10-20 times a day for 10-20 minutes at a time. Contacted origin and was ignored after 2 messages and a few days. So tried again and finally got a message after 2-3 more days got the usual rubbish test it on your end etc. etc. already have makes no difference. Contacted them back. It’s been 5 days now and nothing.
I would seriously recommend NOT joining origin as the service is terrible, bad net (Slower than my last even though they promised better speeds), constant cut out, literally no help to resolve my problem, slow and simply a disgrace! I am trying to run a business and it’s become a lot more stressful since I joined this joke of a company. Will be asking for a full refund and finding another company ASAP. Don’t make the same mistake I made.

Since the closure of digital region their service has taken a steady downward decline. I have had a fault on my line now for 10 days and they are nowhere near finding and fixing the problem. Their customer service is very poor in many aspects. my advice is stay away.
