This ee broadband is very slow. Ocassionally it is impossible to log on at all. The slow speed is a real issue because it prevents me from being able to use my internet and this happen most of the time. I was promised around 55 megabites but I am only getting 1.2. That is a massive difference. I have complained so many times but it is never fixed. Basically this is fraud. I cannot recommend EE to anybody. The moment the contract expires I am off to another provider. Frankly, I will never, ever go to EE again!

I wish there was a zero rating. The speed I get with EE is 2mb download and 1.0 upload. Trying to
contact customer services is useless, as the sound fades away every few seconds. When I could hear on one occasion, I couldn't
understand what the person was saying. Surely the Ombudsman must have had hundreds of complaints, yet they're still managing to fool so many of us. Is there any help available?

AVOID AVOID AVOID
Absolute crap, been with EE for just over a year, struggle to get any speeds over 2mbps in the week, weekend and peak times it's under 1mbps, told over the phone we probably need a new router, makes absolutely no difference and now found out because we've received a new router we are tied into a new 12month contract. THE WORST customer service and broadband we've ever had. I'm sick to death of buffering signs, honestly don't bother

When I got with EE I was feeling really unsure about it after I looked at these reviews. I have now had it for 3 days now. I have the 38mb plan and it is great my top speed is 36mb download and 10mb uploads at busy times it is still good 30mb download. People talk about the router not giving a good signal but it is fine for myself. I live about 900 yards from the main connection point so that may help a bit but all round I cant say a bad word at the moment. All I will say is that when I joined I got an email saying my top speed would be 7mb witch is really not good and I was very unsure about it but that is what BT said. I happy that I went with EE and just make sure you can get a good speed before going with them.

Joined EE approx one week ago. Was informed change would be seamless!!!!
What a joke. No one informed me of the date of change but I mistakenly assumed the router would arrive before I was disconnected from my previous provider. Not the case. Service abysmal. Server down. Phoned yesterday, told if not working in 2 hours phone again. 24 hrs later, phoned again, told if not working in 2 hrs ,phone again. Am returning to my previous provider.
Do not join this excuse for a provider.

At the suggestion of one of their call center employees, I changed from copper to fiber-optic , not knowing you needed to change the router (the employee didn't tell me). When the system went down as they had changed the system I called the tech people in India, who were very good and promised to order a new router, which of course never arrived.
I phoned 5 different call center people over a period of a month asking for a router, it never arrived. On the sixth time I spoke to a lady who reviewed the account and exclaimed that the situation was rubbish, and understood why I was moving to BT.
BT told me when the router was arriving, and when I was going live, both exactly to the date.
To add insult to injury Orange have now taken a month's rental from my bank account even though I've not had broadband from them for nearly 3 months. I've now phoned their center in Dublin twice to get my money back but so far failed at the first hurdle.
Wouldn't touch this lot with a barge pole.

I'm paying £35 per month for high speed broadband and the best speed I could get using Ookla was 47mps upload and 18mps download. I can't get through to customer service and after being with EE for quite some time it's now time to go, I'm out of contract so that's it. Absolutely appalling company!!

I've had internet at crappy hotels better than this :l They wont even help fix it, they tell you it's your fault and tell you to unplug everything and plug it back in. That isn't going to help their problems. Don't bother with them, it's not worth it.

Trying to upgrade to fibre because our best speed is 1.8Mbps. 7 weeks on still not connected, twice they have had the order rejected because they inputted the address incorrectly. Still waiting. Hopeless service, over one and a half hours on the phone so far. I think I will have to cancel it and go to a better provider.

After many line drops and speeds of only 1.9 I decided to upgrade to fibre. EE twice input the order incorrectly, then after several long calls to them, and 51 days after placing the order they said there were now insufficient lines in my distribution box so they couldn't complete the order, and offered a derisory £10 compensation. Promises that my speed had been increased, it is now down to 1.7 Mbps. Been with them since the days of Wanadoo, but it's bye bye. Oh, and don't bother complaining to their retail director (Dierdre Burns), because she doesn't have the decency to reply.

Get slightly more then we pay for, year and a half with no issues apart from bad writing in the property which wasn't their fault. Switched from sky when we was getting awful internet.
Only downsides are their terrible site and they're not the cheapest

This broadband is so bad I mean bad as in lousy! No other description fits. One lousy company intent on SC reading you for every penny without even trying to provide anything like an adequate service. How can they call it broadband??? Streaming is impossible. Freezes all the time and even the most menial tasks take for. And do not make the mistake of contacting their so called service department. Incompetent and completely uninterested. Just one totally lousy company. Don't even think about going near. Be warned!!!

Not even worth one star.
EE has to be my worst experience ever as a subscriber to a broadband service. My connection fluctuates from 0.11 ?Mbs up to just under 17 Mbs. The upper speed would be great if it were consistent enough to actually use.
I believe it is over subscribed and the contention ratios are too high. EE come up with every excuse under the sun but incredibly it's NEVER there fault. I would have a degree of respect for them if they could just admit it. I was going to switch my mobiles to EE but frankly they are the last company I will use now. IF I can find a legal way out of my contract it's exactly what I will be doing. If I can't then I will default and see them in court. PLEASE save yourself AVOID , WET STRING WOULD WORK BETTER

If I could have give a zero rating I would have. Been with EE for over 10 years with, in all honesty, no problems until now - Broadband and home phone have been down since Wednesday morning, keep ringing (Indian call centre) and keep being fobbed off; called last night requesting to "leave" EE and was passed to a "Manager" - this "Manager" was one of the tech team at the Indian Call centre! He assured us it would be up by midnight - now 8am the following morning and nothing. Called again first thing requesting an exit code to leave - we told them in no uncertain terms we were leaving because everyone we've spoken to has lied, then told nobody starts work until 9.00am. I am actually shocked at the level of customer (non)service - don't touch this Company with a barge pole.

My issue with EE is the very poor service when dealing with a telephone landline fault. The relationship between EE and BT appears to be very unreliable as it took over 2 weeks to resolve a straightforward defect. All evidence of the fault pointed to the exchange but this was not tackled until 2 home visits and persistent pleading from me to the 150 help desk.

Customer service 35-45 minutes to answer phone if your lucky
Run through the same tests every time we call them about crap wifi
They tell you they will call you next day they dont instead they text you with a fault complaint reference number
Steer clear as useless as a choclate teapot

Recently switched to EE to save myself £7.50 a month for 12 months. Was really not worth it. The speed is awful and that's when you can actually access the internet. Save yourself the hassle and don't go anywhere near EE!! Just got to get out of the contract now and go back to my previous supplier!

Moved here six months ago and had constant problems, apparently the line to this community is ancient and needs replacing so our speeds are rubbish and very inconsistent download speed often crashes and our neighbours told by BT that we will have to fund a new cable ourselves, so what are we paying line rental for ? a knackered old cable shared by several houses.

AVOID this company
Sign us up for a wrong contract (£9.95 per month not £2.5!!! + line rental). Services started just yesterday and I can not cancel contract. (They send me first bill and start services AFTER the date I can cancel contract). Quality is much worse we had with previous provider (Talk Talk)

Been an Orange mobile customer for years and sold the ee home broadband package recently as part of a "combine and save" deal when I upgraded a mobile. The service is SHOCKING! Broadband service is very unreliable. On and off all the time due to maintenance issues. The landline doesn't have a call divert facility which is a real pain for us. Customer service is awful. They promised to look into the contract then dropped the whole case because the call got cut off, and they never got back to me. The deal also promised BT wifi anywhere - this doesn't work either. So all in all not a good thing to say. VERY disappointed - expected more.

Product/cost: EE Broadband unlimited with anytime national, international and mobile calls, line rental advance / £22 pm (1st 3m £5 off)
Firstly, I do not work for EE. I have read many EE reviews here after I switched. I don't need mega broadband for P2P or gaming, just for email and catch up TV and I am happy so far with what I have bought. The switch was handled smoothly and was on time.
I moved from legacy Talk Talk with free broadband several weeks ago and have cut costs by a third - even over free broadband - as basically all calls are inclusive and as my wife lives on the 'phone and her parents live abroad, that's essential.
The router setup is plug it in and that's it. Set up Airport with details provided on a handy plastic card and working straight away. It hasn't dropped once and connection uptime is continuous, unlike the Talk Talk dropping every hour annoyance.
Speedtest increased from 1.89 Mb/s to 3.80+ Mb/s. Best though, the choking or traffic shaping that rendered the internet and especially BBC iPlayer unusable has gone. Streaming is continuos without re-buffering and two laptops can stream catchup reducing arguments.
I haven't needed to call customer services to complain about anything so far, though they called us to see if we were satisfied. If I ever have a problem with customer services I will complain in the EE shop with a raised voice on a busy Saturday morning.
All in all I am happy with this product and with the service that was and is provided. I have no reason not to recommend this.

The internet connection goes from 6.69 to 18.52 Mb without warning, that is when I do not loose connection. I have notified EE several time with this problem without getting a resolution to it. FYI they advertise up to 76Mb per second in my area!!! But the monthly charge remains the same... Of course

Arguably the most horrendous WIFI I have ever used. Constantly disconnects, cannot support more than one large device such as an Xbox or TV, and has ridiculously low download speeds. Said they would send someone out within 48 hours and it's been a week and no one has done anything about it, worst customer service I've ever seen regarding the problems being fixed. Would have rated everything with 0 stars if it was physically possible.

Dubious about switching to EE for fibre having read the reviews, but I couldn't be happier about my experience. We were kept updated every step of the way with texts, letters and emails. Full set-up instructions came with the router, plus a video link sent to my phone for additional help. Now it's set up we get the full 36GB speed that we were told we could get. I can't comment on customer service as we've had no reason to contact them. It's easy to leave negative reviews; if only everyone who had a good experience left a review it may be easier to get a true balanced review on all the broadband providers out there.

DONT GO WITH EE!! Period! Their technical support-which you will need - are totally clueless-I figured out how to fix my own internet problem while on line to them as they ?consulted manuals on what to do.They told me my laptop was faulty- absolute rubbish! They might as well say "to repair your broadband you need to go away and eat baked beans on toast!"Total numpties. I went for this contract for the free £100 amazon gift voucher which is coincidentally(?) now due for pay out- now my broadband is awful-I cant use it- and obviously want to go elsewhere-but I will lose my £100 voucher if I do. My advice - Steer cleer of EE.

Be-cartful, don't join this rubbish provider.
Service is very bad.
No one knows what is going on.
It take forever to get connected. Costumer support is rubbish, waste of time.
Support is rubbish not technical knowledge.
Communication is really bad.
No one can be bothered to update you.
All what they care about is getting money from you ASAP.
Over all please avoid them.

Signed up after getting fed up with Sky recently. Had no idea I would be subjected to a non UK call centre whose sole objective seems to be to waste my time and mumble platitudes. Very polite but very pointless and I do not use any company that cant even be bothered to invest in providing support from the same country as their customer base. Will be terminating the contract as it hasn't been 14 days yet.

worst provider ever, I registered with their cheapest bundle and immediately got the creeps when I received a confirmation with wrong bundle. So I cancelled immediately and within 14 day, EE said all sort of lies as to why they didn't process the cancellation in time, they really tried their hardest to make it hard to cancel, I then contacted Ofcom, am glad I cancelled, god knows what else would have happened

I have never left a review before for any company, but EE are so rubbish I have to warn others!
4 engineer visits to switch over, none of them have a clue and actually the problem got worse after each visit.
There is only 1 department in the UK to speak to, and that is cancellations.
Passed pillar to post on every issue, its been over 2 weeks with 0.5mb speed and a very crackly phone line and no TV service.
Absolutely shocking, also been told I can't cancel until they have had 30 days to try and fix the issue.
So, looks like I have another 2 weeks of no service before I can leave!
My advice: pay what you get for.
I will happily crawl back to Virgin Media and pay 3 times as much. NEVER had a problem with Virgin for the 10 years I was with them.
