Default which wireless router for vfast

Hi
I'm looking to leave Sky broadband as the best connection i can acheive is 1.7mb, although in reality whenever i check its more like 500k.
According to vfast i am in a wireless area so i can pay £99 and have an aerial fitted that allows me to pick up 10mb broadband - much better than i can ever hope from the BT exchange. My road is not cabled and i've read that Virgin are only wiring new estates and not connecting to old areas such as where i live.

The vfast aerial terminates in the house at an rj45 cable, so i'm assuming i can buy a cable (Virgin type) router to convert into wireless around the house (this is not included in the package from Vfast).

What is the best router than anyone can recommend? I intend to connect 2 laptops, xbox and wii via wireless and 2 pcs via ethernet.

I understand from scratching around on the web that some wireless modems are better than others for gaming. Currently my teenage son uses his xbox but is always complaining about lag and connection drops, even if no one else is using the net.

I've heard of dual band routers and don't mind spending around £120 to get the best one i can afford if anyone can make some suggestion. If possible, i would like one with a USB so i can connect a hard drive to it.

Thanks

Vfast supply the TL-WR740N router. Cheap and cheerful! If you access the Vfast forum dealing specifically with Kings Hill you will see some comments about alternative higher spec units. THe form is VFast Internet - Index page
