Default Ethernet connection?

My pc is currently right next to the bt phone socket and is connected via an orange livebox and a telephone/broadband adaptor. I intend moving the pc and livebox to an adjacent room and would like to connect the livebox to the telephone/broadband adaptor (I don't want to use wireless). The distance would be around 25 feet. Would this have any detrimental effect on the broadband service. What type of cable/cnnectors should I use or can a lead be bought of the shelf?
Thanks.

Default Re: Ethernet connection?

Use an Ethernet cable, it won't suffer any problems over 25 feet, you won't notice any difference to now.
