Cool Intermittent connectivity

We had 2Meg with Tiscali for over two years with no problem, then we switched to their broadband, phone and TV package taking us up to 8Meg. That's when the nightmare began.

We now have Speedtouch router, are 570 metres from exchange and are sick of being told we have an amazing line and "can you see the exchange from your house?"

We have intermittent connection and we often lose the internet and DSL lights on router. Tiscali have sent 2 engineers in addition to installation engineer and a BT engineer is now booked. We can't watch TV or surf now reliably. Can anybody advise as to what we, or Tiscali, are missing?

My husband reckons it's a conspiracy and BT have messed with our service because Tiscali now have our line rental. I'm not sure BT are that clever.

What is your postcode?

If you are on their TV and everything offering then they'll have likely switched you over from standard ADSL on rented BT equipment to LLU equipment they installed and own in the exchange.. so that's probably why it when from good to intermittent, at least they are getting engineers out to look at it for you though.
