Post Phone / Internet Issues

My internet keeps disconnecting whenever i pick up the phone to answer a phone call and when i ring someone up,

What can i do to solve this because we have bought a whole new modem and dsl filter and stuff, yet it still occurs.

You have connected your filters incorrectly. Try reducing the number of variables to track down the problem. Just connect your modem only at first (remove all phones) then plug one phone back in at a time until you find the one that is the problem.

Red face Re: Phone / Internet Issues

This is what's known as a High Open Fault. Possible causes - a small break in the phone line/dodgy filters. If you ave replaced the filters to no avail, why not try double filtering the phone. this sometimes causes the line to stay as if the phone is picked up, althoug your phone works as normal. Don't ask why...

_ phone socket ------filter------Phone
NTE5 master socket - Filter-
- adsl socket ------adsl line (rj11)

Give it a shot dudes, otherwise contact your isp/phone supplier and inform them of a High Open Fault..
