Jus sot eceived a letter from Demon that I'm being upgraded to 16meg next month using ADSL2+. y line will support 13.8mb so guess i'll be seeing some speeds in region of about 12mb realistically.
Unfortunately my BT Voyager 2100 does not support ADSL2+ Does this mean that it will continue to work but only at slower speeds of upto 8mb or does it just cease to function - period. Does anyone know as it will help my decision making on which spec of new router to purchase |

ADSL2+ Is a Modem Train Rate. It's a different standard of ADSL that uses the same line. You can actually connect to various train rates with one modem/router, but yes Unfortunately, without an ADSL2+ Router, you will only be able to connect to the highest standard your modem supports.
ADSL2+ routers such as the Netgear DG834g cost a fiver on ebay. stick your hand in your pocket! hehe!
