Unhappy trouble installing AOL broadband

I have just purchased a new laptop (VISTA) as i was unable to install onto my old XP PC,and I am still not able to install broadband.
I am using a voygager, and it is all set up properly. AOL fails to be able to connect, and there is no dial tone at all?
Help how can I get throrgh this so that finally get onto broadband? AOL helplines are useless at helping and blame it on my telphone line. BT say there is nothing wrong with the line and that it works ok.
Would it be wise to switch to wireless boradband instead?
I am desperate for help!!!!

Default Re: trouble installing AOL broadband

Hi There,

The following page gives information on AOL and Vista:

http://help.aol.co.uk/aol-90-vr-vist...15104309990001

A quote from the page says:

"USB modems are not yet compatible with Windows Vista. If you wish to install Windows Vista, you will need to purchase a modem router."

So it looks like you need to purchase a router, as you have a laptop you should look at getting a wireless router. We have details of wireless routers in our wireless broadband guide.

I hope this helps
