Really Bad Problems

Hi,

Lately i have been experiencing bad problems with my Talk Talk Broadband service. Everytime the phone rings i am disconnected.

I also connect my modem (Huawei SmartAX MT882) up to my xbox 360 which also disonnects when the phone rings and even when it dosent. This is really anoying me but my parents wont get rid of the internet.

So is their anyway in which i can fix this?

Have you got microfilters connected to every extension in the house with a device on it?

Have you recently changed anything about the setup with anything in the house that plugs into the phone lines recently?

Yes upstairs and downstairs, the only thing i changed was when i replaced the microfilters, which was about 5 months ago.

It is likely that it's a dodgy microfilter or something that is plugged in without a microfilter that is the problem.

Test your microfiltes by unplugging all phones and microfilters and then just plug the modem in (via a microfilter) and connect. When you have a connection make a call to the house using a mobile and see if you get disconnected, if you do then try swapping out the microfilter for another. If you don't get disconnected start plugging all the other devices in one at a time and calling between adding each device and see if you get a drop.

By a process of elimination you will find the offending item if it is something house side. If you still get the problem then your issue is either at the exchange or with your modem.

My microfilter was a little damaged so i replaced them
