Default Broadband.co.uk Speedtest

I find the speed test here totally in adequate. It never registers me above 15Mb, when I know through speedtest.net that I get a constant 50Mb/4.7Mb.

I check all the usual stuff that you check when you get a low result. I'm afraid your test sucks. If anyone is using your test as a measure of how their ISP operates then they will get in inaccurate indication.

Default Re: Broadband.co.uk Speedtest

Hi roughbeast,

Our statistics indicate that the test is producing several 50Mb+ results each day and our monthly speed test figures are equivalent to those reported by Ofcom. However we take your problem seriously, it could be the case that there is some sort of routing problem between your computer and our server or that there was some sort of limited problem with our hosting at the time of your test.

The speedtest.net graphics indicate that you tested there at 9:50pm on the 18th. Is that when you tested at broadband.co.uk? Could you also let us know your IP address so we can investigate the routing?

Out of interest, is the speed test still showing low speeds for your connection or was the problem limited to Saturday?

Thanks,

Broadband.co.uk Administrator

Hi again,

We've now made some adjustments to the hosting of the new speed test. Could you test again and let us know if you're still seeing the problem?

Thanks,
