Default advice on wireless broadband provider for student house

I’m moving into a student house in a couple of weeks with 4 friends and I’m having real trouble trawling through all the different broadband providers websites and getting confused! We need the following and wondered if someone could recommend a good ISP:

wireless network broadband - so preferably a package that includes a wireless router - for 5 laptops over 3 floor (ground, first and attic)
has to be compatible with macs and windows vista/xp
unlimited downloads or at least a high limit. most of us are heavy users - music/film downloads, live radio streaming, photos etc
12 month contract or less
4mb speed or more. i've checked the speed test on this website and theoretically it should be 6 mb but its more likely to be 512kbs
the area where we are moving to in sheffield (postcode is S10 1GP) doesn’t have cable lines, so the broadband has to come through the BT exchange. its going to cost us £125 just to have it connected so we're trying to keep the price down with the internet.

we’d like to pay £15 - £25 a month including line rental and also don’t want huge installation or set up costs. having a phone with free calls available would be a bonus. we were going to go with talktalk (lincluding line rental and free global evening and weekend calls for £16.99 pcm) until we realised their contracts were 18 months. ALSO we'll need the internet up and running as soon as possible after we move in at the beginning of July so a provider than installs quickly would be great.

thanks, any help or advice is appreciated !

Default Re: advice on wireless broadband provider for student house

After looking at your requirements you should look at:

Be Broadband

I'd suggest you look at their Be Unlimited Broadband, this costs £18 per
month and gives speeds up to 24Mbps (and you live very close to your
exchange so you should get speeds of very nearly the maximum). You get a
free wireless modem and all the operating systems you mention and it has
an unlimited download allowance. The minimum contract term is only 3
months.
