Hello,
i would be grateful for any advise and suggestions relating to the following problem. I have moved into a flat which appears to be from the stone age. there is neither cable or a BT line. The House is pre-wired for fiber optic cable but my letting agent will not provide the required permissing for virginmedia to come and install it for me. BT have kindly offered to install an adsl line but they want 150 pounds to do so plus 12 monthly payments of 30 pounds just for the line. are there any alternatives to these two methods of internet access? Comments appreciated Many Thanks... |

You could look into mobile broadband at http://www.broadband.co.uk/mobile-broadband.jsp
You won't need a phone line for it. |

Sky broadband comes via a BT phoneline not the satellite dish.. Sky actually require you to have a BT line to be able to have their satellite service even if you don't take broadband, their set top box plugs into it for some reason.
