Hi again
![]() If Virgin are asking you for a BT line then you are talking to a Virgin ADSL sales person, have you checked with them whether you can get Virgin Media Cable instead? As this would be a cheaper install price. Although you have a socket in you house BT will still charge you up to £125 to get it connected at the exchange so that it works. I understand your frustration but there is absolutely no way to get fixed line broadband (with the exception of Virgin Media Cable) without having a working and paid up BT phone line in the first place. |

Progressssss!
The girl at BT said the line here is still active etc from the previous guy, so I won't have to pay to connect to the exchange!!!!!! ![]() I'm SO happy because the connection fee is just too much to pay for me at the mo.So next step is to make a new account with them, setup a direct debit to pay £11.75 a month for line rental, THEN I can just ring my favoured ISP and do things as normal right? Will it matter if the previous guy had internet here? Thinking about MAC codes etc... I'm so excited lol, really missed having internet access. Thinking ahead too, I brought my wireless modem-router with me so I won't even need to buy one! muhahaha! |

Excellent news!
![]() Well if the previous tenant had any sense he will have canceled his broadband which means the line should now be free.. if you would like us to double check just email our broadband expert at expert@broadband.co.uk and let him know your telephone number and he will be able to check the line status. thanks Admin |
