broadband tha gives you a low ping in online games

hi guys,i wonder if u can help me...i was whit bt before and my ping in online games was like 40/50,we just got a new connection whit talktalk and now my ping is like 100/120. can any 1 tell me why the ping gone up so much? and who is the best internet provider for online games,that will give you a low ping? thanks

It could just be that the ping is so high because the connection is new (if it's less than 10 days) as TalkTalk will be experimenting with speed settings to get the optimum on your line.
