Angry orange service totally useless.

last october (2007) i decided to upgrade my broadband package so that i could make free telephone calls using the orange livebox. To date THE BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE (i am 55years old!) I made numourous calls to register my phone but no 2nd line number was ever e mailed. So when I received a bill for nearly £170 instead of my usual £19.99 I queried it with Orange customer services. They said the extra charges were for calls made on my second line. To cut a very long and monotonus story short they investitgated and confirmed that indeed the calls were not made by me. This first started in March and the calls continued until July. it was finally agreed that i should be given a full refund of £287.72 which would be credited on 11th August into my bank account. GREAT I thought ALL SORTED.
How wrong could I be? Today I phoned to ask why the money had not been refunded and was told that my bank would not accept it but that they would post a cheque out to me. I AGREED TO THIS PROVIDED A CHEQUE WAS SENT TODAY BY FIRST CLASS MAIL.
But true to form ORANGE could not do this and i have to wait another 28 days before I get my refund. THIS IS DAYLIGHT ROBBERY. PLEASE DO NOT SWITCH TO ORANGE
IS MY ADVICE.

Default Re: orange service totally useless.

Why do Orange offer "unlimited download" then cap it at 40gb, even though I'd never exceed that anyway, then cap it to 30gb, then send you a letter telling you that over a 2 month period that I'd downloaded over 7gb during peak time (6pm to midnight), the only time anyone in the house is at home! This fairplay policy is killing usage, we are a household of four adults, all using ipods/itunes, sat navs, facebook, live TV, skype, xbox, PS3, so yes I suppose our usage may be high, but that's why I opted for "unlimited" and paid more for that service, to now be told that I'm using too much, which I strongly disagree as we are still well below the "unlimited" or 40gb allowance? So it's bye bye Orange, I've had enough!
