I have been using Vodafone Broadband now since I changed over from BT on 20th March. So far my connection has been constant with no drops at all. On BT, my sky Q mini box had to be restarted about 3 times a week after losing connection with my BT hub. To date my sky mini has lost connection once in 4 weeks from my Vodafone hub. I am sitting out in the back garden writing this review and my hub in in the front room, my connection has only lost one bar. All my Sonos products, my 2 TVs, my Sky and mini box, 2 mobile phones, 2 iPads, printer, laptop and other little wifi devices are all connected and running perfectly. I have had 2 conversations with Vodafone customer services and found them extremely helpful.
This is my experience, so far, with Vodafone broadband. I see that others have had not such a good experience but I certainly have.
Oh and no, I don't work for Vodafone, I'm a retired Police Officer. Would I recommend it, yes.

Believe me. The absolute worst internet service I have ever had. Drop out occur a minimum of 20 times per day. I never add to reviews but this service has frustrated me so much that I felt I had to. Please, for your own mental health, stay clear of this service.

Worst ISP to date. They have made me long for dial up. Constantly dialled back speed, modem connection has been poor. Can't wait for change particularly since I'm paying for the top speed. PLEASE DON'T use them. Go back in time and use AOL dial up if you can.

Switched from TalkTalk last February, won over by the cheaper price and faster speeds. Got the 76mb service. They said my connection would be 80mb, but it has been only 40mb - until a few days ago, now it has been 23-30mb! I complained shortly after I joined. They said I was in a heavy usage area, but Openreach were going to fix it. Nearly 4 months later I am still waiting. Not sure I believe their reason, as I have checked the speed at various times throughout the day and night (including early hours) and it was the same (sure there can't be heavy usage in the area 24 hours a day). As they are not fulfilling their end of the contract, they said I can leave without paying the rest of the year, or downgrade with no fees. However, when I asked to downgrade, they refused and said the problem should be fixed soon. Not fair that I am paying for Fibre 76 and getting about Fibre 38 speeds. Think I will leave them soon. Now I regret leaving TalkTalk. Had no speed problems with them, or BT previously. AVOID.

Where do I start? I ordered broadband with them on the 1st of September. On this date, I was told that I was booked in with an engineer for the 18th. So I travelled to nottingham for that date, having to take time off specifically for this. Then on the morning of the 18th, i'm sent an email telling me to 'get ready for my installation on the 21st'. After waiting hours on hold, i'm told to wait until 8 for the engineer, which I knew wasn't going to happen. So on the 21st, when I'm not in the county, I get a call telling me that the bt open zone guy is outside. Once I tell Vodafone about this problem, they were quick to give me 50gb free if I was with Vodafone mobile (which I'm glad i'm not), or add 'credit to my account', which costs them nowhere near as much as it costs me to travel on short notice and take days off work to be stood up. After calming down and agreeing to have an engineer come on the 12th of October (21 days notice), an engineer shows up on the 10th. Which was incredibly inconvenient, because it made me late for work, waiting for this guy to do absolutely nothing as it turns out. Then I called to find out why this was the case, and was told that 'engineers come whenever they're free and around your area'. Now, even a child can point out why this would be an infinitely bad idea, especially since if you're unavailable for your surprise visit, you're charged a missed appointment fee. But that aside, the broadband still wasn't working after installation, I once again called Vodafone (18th time by this point), and was told that it wouldn't go live until the 12th. Which I thought was fair. The 12th finally came, and the broadband still wasn't working, so when I called (19th time), I was told that 'the broadband order on my account was cancelled', and that apparently 'this is a rare situation that never happens, but they're going to try to fast track my activation date'. After hearing this nonsense, I was contacted later in the day to be given a status update saying 'btw, nothing has happened yet'. Probably the least informative update to ever have to endure. I called back later that day to be told that I had an engineer visit on the 23rd of October, which I never booked and had no idea about. I still wouldn't have known this date unless I had called them, and it's lucky I did. I was told that the openzone man had not installed the line properly, and I need another appointment on a date I never agreed upon. I had decided to cancel my account with them, and they literally encouraged me to leave. No retentions, no explanation, just 'shop around and we'll be happy to cancel your contract free of charge since you're within your first 30 days'. What's interesting about this, is that if I had waited until the 23rd, and nothing had happened, I'd have been outside of my 30 days, and would've been expected to pay a cancellation fee, which felt almost like a plot to trap me within their horrible service. Not once did I feel like they were listening to my struggle, and till this day, I still haven't received my cancellation email. It's almost as if they're trying to be sleazy with their services to suck money out of you. I now get nothing from their lack of competence, but wasted time and money, while these guys laugh all the way to the bank with for their lack of half decent customer support. I still have no internet thanks to these clowns. I call them clowns because their service is absolutely laughable. I honestly wish I could review less than one star, because I think even that would be too generous.

Customer service good in that people I spoke to helpful and professional but the service itself is poor. I switched from BT and VF didn't switch my home phone number over for a week. The service worked well initially but after a few days my Amazon Echo Dot stopped working never to work again (on VF). VF are not concerned with this, its not their kit. After 2 months the service got worse and worse with constant disconnects. A new router seemed to fix it for a while but then the same experience. Eventually I tracked it down to having an un-managed ethernet switch connected to the router would frequently stop all other devices from working. I never had this issue with BT. The price rise allowed me to switch back to BT where the service is seamless, switch over taking 20 mins nice and early in the morning and now all my devices work again. I would probably switch back to Vodafone when they iron out their technical issues but I don't see that happening soon. They had issues with the firmware on their routers and they seem to be far from fixed.

I've had no end of problems, promises that engineers would come out, but the service doesn't improve, ridiculously long call wait timed. I've now had zero broadband for 36 hrs and have been waiting on the phone to speak to someone for 30 mins. Customer service staff are always polite & helpful, but the problem is the infrastructure. It's costing me money in call minutes and data to my mobild provider, I am extremely unhappy, I would not use Vodafone for ANYTHING ever again.

Purchased a £15 a month contract with Vodafone while living in the UK. I've only just found out two months later I'm being charged nearly £80 extra during this period for a few calls to Ireland, something I did not realise incurred extra charges.
While I maybe should have considered this beforehand, I received no kind of message informing me of these extra charges, and no form of sympathy while speaking to Vodafone about the issue. I will definitley not be renewing my monthly contract.

Left plus eat for Vodafone as they offered a great deal and promised same service, been with Vodafone for mobile for years with great experiences. But with broadband I wish I had stayed with plus net.
Service is unreliable, speeds are abysmal, signal strength bounces up and down at all times of day and night, customer service is useless and full of the give it a few days advice, then when it's still rubbish in a few days they say if you cancel you have to pay your remaining term.. Very poor. As soon as contract up, going back to plus net.

Its horrible broadban when I can not even load my facebook. I got a contract with vodafone with the most expensive deal for broadband, it costs me 28/month and they said that the speed is up tp 76mbs/s. However it is actually 10~20mbs/s i think so. When I contact with customer service about this problemm they said that because our lineland speed is low so i have to accept it. How ridiculous they are. PLEASE STAY AWAY VODAFONE BROADBAND

I am so fed up with speaking to family and friends and having to wander about the house and garden to get a reception. It has got better because we used to have to run to the bottom of the garden for good reception, sometimes in the poring rain, not good.
My family get the hump for not being able to hear me and keep saying get a proper phone, listen up Vodafone.
Really want a Vodafone person out so they can hear what our reception is like. I secretly hope it's raining lol.
So fed up with complaining. I just want to be able to hear the people love.
Listen to the little places in England please.

I received no broadband, It took them 30 days and I still had no connection. They never cancelled BT so I had no choice than to go back to BT. They said they could pay the cancellation fee as it was their fault but they would only be able to pay off my mobile phone bill with it. They said that I could use my phone as a router free of charge, that was not true. Having to explain and explain again, they took of a small amount off my bill. I had a bill of £103 I usually a have about £50 to pay. I had a guy called Hamid Khalique, who worked there, tell me "Come on, Lorraine, you haven't lost any money from our mistake"!!! I think he should be trained in Customer Care better, I don't know him, so I'm not sure why he addressed me the way he did. I did have to pay for a much larger mobile bill, I spent ages on the free number phoning to try to get it sorted, even their own system went down. Then to top it all they sent me another email saying welcome to Vodafone broad and they were going to connect me in two weeks time!!!! Come on Newbury sort yourselves out!!!

Please avoid. Every single time I've added credit the data pack either hasn't aligned with my account so I can't use it, or it works nicely and then automatically disconnects from my account daily. I swear I can't use it for 1 day without it disconnecting from my account. Then I have to go on live chat for over an hour to be told a "glitch" occurred. Its clearly all nonsense. Pay as you go wifi is useless and customer service is appalling.

We’ve not had one week we’re the internet has worked to a standard we were told. It cuts out, drops out every bloody day and you have to reconnect. When you ask for help you don’t get it!
Don’t go with these guys they rob you of money, give you false information. Go elsewhere save yourself the stress!

From the day I got broadband with Vodafone the service signal and reliability has been terrible. I have stuck with it for several months and finally decided to switch. After several calls they are still insisting on charging me an early cancellation charge which I find completely unbelievable. Such shockingly bad customer service it's unreal. What ever you do don't use vodafone!!!

Absolutely terrible service. Like a previous reviewer I didn't actually get connected to the service despite 3 weeks of constant phone calls to Vodaphone and excuse after excuse of why they couldn't connect the service. I had to cancel until the as I had no internet for 3 weeks and the empty promises of when the activation date would be. I would have had more respect for the company if they would have been honest that they couldn't connect me for whatever reason rather than spinning a yarn for weeks. I switch to a differentt provider (another mobile network provider) who within an hour of signing a contract with them emailed me an activation date. I will never get back the hours of phone calls to Vodaphone. I would categorically never use this company again. Terrible.

This words bellow represents my experience with vodafone:
rip-off - charging amounts without stating what it is ( refunded but I had to call twice)
no customer service at all: I had so many problems with them and the only thing I heard was sorry, they really dont care about customer, I wrote my problems at a vodafone survey, begging for a manager to read my letter, someone has to do something, someone that has a bit of professionalism must read all this reviews and do something
frustration;
disappointment;
insulting;
wast of time;
wast of money;
the worst provider ever, I was a bt customer for 2 years, than changed to virgin, and very very unfortunately changed to the worst internet provider in the UK >>> VODAFONE, mobile phone service also is a crap. Please avoid, anyone want more details please contact, serius I dont want anyone to suffer like me. Stop giving money to this company

I was with PlusNet for a number of years but noticed a drop off after the BT takeover. Once they'd hiked their ADSL to £30 I decided to switch to Vodafone Fibre as they were offering the whole kit for £26.
Initially impressed with the 50Mbps quote as I was getting 47Mbps. Sadly I can now only get around 26Mbps in the mornings. Average evening speed is now 4 - 7.9Mbps at best and can drop to Kbps.
The frustrating part is that I would never get below 12Mbps with PlusNet on ADSL so I've saved a few quid but crippled my internet connection.
Now the hassle of trying to get out of contract. If you want high speed fibre Vodafone is not the place to go.

We switched to Vodafone from BT, who turned out to be just as awful as TalkTalk before them. The switching process went wrong. For some reason BT declined to release our number after we expressly said we wanted to keep it. BT weren't interested iunless we signed another 24 month contract and then with no guarantee we'd get our number back. I contacted Vodafone, who were (a) concerned, and (b) absolutely brilliant. They requested the number from BT, who immediately said it was available! So after a couple of days with a rogue number, Vodafone had us back on with our old number. NIce work guys!
The router is great. It's easy to set up and seems robust. Although we can access the wifi from most places in the house, adding range extenders was child's play, so now we have a solid signal everywhere.
Speed is impressive. We're some distance from the roadside box but we still consistently see in excess of 50MB. Unlike our previous two providers, there's no evidence of traffic shaping with Vodafone, and our speed remains stable even at peak times.
We get a discount because our mobiles are with Vodafone. The online billing is informative and convenient. The broadband app for Android makes controlling our home network easy, and for us a real benefit is the ability to have a secondary family or guest network.
I accept that not everyone has the same experience, and people are quick to complain about a poor one. I think it important to offer a balancing viewpoint though; switching to Vodafone for phone and broadband was the best decision that we've ever made.

Sorry Vodafone. The actual mobile connection here is pretty good, but the mobile broadband is shocking! Generally it varies between 0.5Mb and 3Mb and often drops out all together. Let's face it, that's pathetic. And what on earth could the excuse be? We can see the telephone mast right at the bottom of the valley! If you wasn't the only provider in this area I would have cancelled this contract long ago.

Firstly Vodafone lost my phone number even after me explicitly asking to have it transferred, nothing they can do apparently. The router loses ADSL connection several times a day, 3 months after install it hasn't stayed connected for more than 24hrs. The router itself is terrible. Wireless connected devices can't communicate with wired devices, eg my Apple TV is connected to the router via Ethernet and my iPad cannot see the device as its wireless. Several hours of phone calls to customer services to try and solve these issues with no joy so I'm stuck with this for another 15months. AVOID!!

I wish I had read these reviews before I left sky BB.
I signed up with sky purely on cost. £20 a month for Fibre to cabinet is a brilliant price. However this is where my love for Vodafone broadband ends.
My download speed is quoted as 32mb/s and upload of 8mb/s but thats into the Router. This speed never makes it out to any devices. Constant dropped connections No IPV6 for xbox (be warned this slows it down no end. Vodafone are also traffic shaping horendousley I think this is why its so cheap.
Be warned if you are like me with a wife and 2 kids with probably 20 things connected to the internet Vodafone is not for you.

I have Fibre 76 and I'm happy.
After EE services Voda feels like at heaven.
Good Things.
1. Voda sorted VDSL. Now I have 61 Downstream, EE fobbed me off with 51 MBps
2. Voda guarantees Minimum speed of 58 Mbps and NO traffic management (I don't feel any)
3. Online TV was struggling with EE, with Voda 2 TV's sets pumping live video at 1080p, no buffering.
4. Cheapest and best value.Pay attention - NO traffic shaping (Virgin, BT and EE do have)
5. Router seems more powerful
Bad things
1. Ping increased from 9ms to 15ms due Gateway at C&W. I can feel it when gaming. Some jitter present
2. Customer services... sort of fobbing and following process. However you will need to spend time to get through, but you will. be patient.
At last not getting lies as from EE and getting chat transcription to refer

I wish I had the reviews on this page before purchasing.
I purchased the 50Gb deal for £30 per month for my children to use. After checking my bank account they have charged me £192.50 because unbeknown to me you have to ask for your allowance to be capped. we have allegedly used an additional 50gb and been charged accordingly. what a rip off and to add insult to injury I've just spent the last hour trying to Cancel.
coverage has been crap as well.

Worst customer service ever.They sent me a phone that does not work properly, the cable provided was dodgy as well. Spoke to the 'team' and their 'manager' in Egypt who has totally no empathy. No idea of what customer service is and all they do is talk over you and tell you what THEIR process is. I have to take the time to go to the store where they will send my phone off for approx 2 weeks and they will provide a loan phone. LMAO at their loan phone because 2 years ago I had the same issue with my Iphone 6s plus. The 'loaner' was an old smelly, dingy phone that had no functionalities except being able to make phone calls and receive which affected my day to day activities. When the phone came back it was still not fixed! I then had to make an appointment with the Apple store in Kingston who took one look at the phone and replaced it straight away! I hate vodafone. They are a horrible company. Stay away. Unfortunately I have just renewed my contract again because they are good at luring you in with good deals at first. But I assure you this will be the last time that I will be renewing my contract. Each time I upgrade, change my contract or need to have something done by Vodafone I have to get angry, annoyed and frustrated. They even had the guts to call me a liar once! The call was then listed to and they called back to apologize!
