Default Broadband speed

I had a call from Orange - my broadband provider suggesting I upgrade my package. They say I am on '1 meg, 2 mgb' and they can upgrade to up to 8mgb. I have done a line teat speed with broadband.co.uk who say my download speed is 5432 kbps. This seems more than Orange say I am signed up for. Am I being pushed into a new package unnecessarily

If you are getting 5Mb+ then probably you are already on an up to 8Mb connection!

Just to be sure use some other speed tests, eg Namesco BroadbandMax ADSL Broadband Bandwidth speedtest | Test your ADSL Broadband connection speed OR Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test Use the London server for best results.
