My son uses Sky Broadband on his desktop, he now wants to buy a laptop for his son, can he run an ethernet cable from the router to the laptop and run both desktop and laptop at the same time. Thanks Robin

If his router has a spare ethernet port to plug a cat V cable into then yes he can run the laptop and desktop at the same time.

If he is buying a new Laptop it is most likely going to have a wireless network card in addition to a standard ethernet port, so if his router has wireless capability he could potentially also connect the laptop via wireless.
