Default Sky Broadband Problem. Help :(

Hi everyone,

I am with sky broadband at the moment and me and my brother play alot of online games, and use the internet frequently. Our PC's are very new and up to date with all the correct drivers and i have purchased brand new Belkin ethernet cables to go from router to pc, I am fairly computer literate so i know the basics of what im doing and have checked for them. However for instance when im either on an online game or on the internet at some point i will get a weird lagspike which throws me off of what im doing, weather it be a game / video or mearly just surfing the net.. Everything freezes and then stops for a moment and doesnt continue till i restart the browser or game, which ever i am doing.

I have contacted sky about the matter, they sent me a new router / checked my connection speed / ran trouble shooting over the phone, they say that there end is fine and they cant see a fault.

I have had BT out to check the port or the master socket for which the router is on and they say its fine, they also checked my cables whilst they were here and say they are also fine....
I purchased a BT i plate but that makes the dissconections more frequent so have stopped using that. and have tried using different adsl filters... same result every time...

This is an issue thats really starting to annoy me now as it disrupts me and who ever else is using our net aswell.... as i have said i have contacted the people and done all i can but have gotten no where... i am less than half a kilometre from the exchange so not far at all...

my drivers for my internet ports are all up to date also.

Please if someone could possibly help me with this i would be ever so gratefull! i don't know what else to do now.. everyone seems adamant there is no problem when clearley there is.

Thankyou for your time
