Default Sky Broadband

Hey all, was wondering if anyone could help me with a few questions regarding my Sky Broadband service.

I recently changed from AOL to Sky, with AOL i was getting a speed of around 3Mb, I was connected to Sky on the 2nd of September, and since then i have been getting speeds of about 0.10-0.20 for download and upload according to speedtest.net, but when i check my router settings im getting 7000+ download, and 500+ upload. Does this have anything to do with the Sky 10 Day stabilization period? (Is this really needed?) Or is it just to make people stay on past the 7 day cancellation period? I'm worried that if i wait the 10 days, i wont be able to cancel my contract and my speed will be terrible.

Default Hey

Hi there, I am getting a large number of students that can't access the internet. When they log on and open IE they don't get the default web page or a log in screen. It appears to be random, I have tried setting up new user accounts but this also appeasrs to be hit and miss on whether they get access.

Any ideas?

Cheers
Alan

Default Re: Sky Broadband

Looking at your stats it looks like you are on the sky connect package, the 448 upload is a give away for this.

I take it that the slow speeds are in the evening after 4pm, most connect customers have the same issue, have a look here for more info
