Question 2 broadband suppliers on one telephone line?

We are short term letting out our house to work out of the uk for up to 12 months & we want to maintain our current broadband supplier and access emails using webmail... but we would like the BT telephone line/number in the house, that our broadband account is linked to, to be transferred to the tenant, who will probably want to organise their own broadband. Is it possible to have 2 broadband accounts (different suppliers) linked to one BT telephone number...(only one will be accessed from the BT landline).

Many Thanks

V. Confused Broadband user!

BT phone lines can only have one broadband service associated with them at a time.

It sounds like you're really interested in maintaining continuity of email address/access while you're out of the country. You'd be better off asking your existing supplier whether they're willing to supply email hosting or forward your current email address for the year you're out of the country. It's quite likely they'll do this if they also offer a business broadband service.
