    waiting for 11 days to get the broadband working and still not help, even contacting the head office is as useless as it gets. phone works but there is not internet, change the router 5 times not luck, DONT USE TALK TALK

    Broadband didn’t work for the first 6 weeks which I never received the refund for after numerous times of trying to contact the very shabby customer support. Broadband often slow and not working. My bill went from £26 to £36 to £52 for the last few months over 2 years which is obscene. Would seriously recomend not getting involved with talktalk.

    Went on for a few years slow speed, thought it was just this area intermittent breakdown of connection could not use phone when on-line. had 2 weeks no internet & 1 week no phone No rebate they sent engineer out said they fixed it few days later bad connection again Changed provider immediate difference (EE) Brilliant . & Had about 30 scam calls from scammers who knew my name said they were from talk talk just wanted to get in control of my Laptop. Avoid Talk X2 waste of money .

    I sincerely hope every single empolyee of Talk Talk vanishes into thin air, because this is what feels like you're talking to when you call up customer service for the 9000th time asking for help because the internet is even worse than Macdonalds Wifi. This has been absolute torture because I live with my family and they chose Talk Talk but I will changing providers finally the time has come to say goodbye to this godforsaken company that steals rips off everyone. Talk Talk I sincerely hope you go bankrupt you absolute scum.

    By far the most awful internet service out there. If you are looking for a speedy internet connection with good service this is the end of the spectrum from good.
    Please do not buy this companies services to support their products at all.

    Been with talk talk no for 8 months in new house and had nothing but trouble, i had no troubles before but an talk talk assistant telephoned me one day saying my broadband was extreamly slow and if i wanted to upgrade to fibre which i did, then the tele took forever to "wake up" and has done so since, alsi just brought a movie boost and had to phone talk talk as channels dont come on and it is like the remote control signal isnt going to the tv box. I currently have to reset the tv box up to 9 times per day to receive the tv. So avoid talk talkat any cost currently looking for new provider.

    My computer was hacked in Nov 2015, the response was very poor
    3 weeks ago I found my facebook was locked out as someone in Vietnam had attempted to enter, and I was advised that I should change my passwords.
    This has caused me £70.00 and talktalk said their system had been attacked.
    Today 2 scam callers called, I hung up on them and reported the matter to talktalk.
    I am not satisfied with talktalk security, too much information is being leaked and their assistance is not up to scratch

    Lying about non existing services!Unreliable costumer service and broadband company overall!!

    We've been been advised from a Talk Talk representative that our address is now eligible to fibre connections and that we should switch to it and guaranteed that the transaction would be completely smooth as we are existing costumers. We received the super-fast router within a couple of days and then one afternoon we lost connectivity. Called the costumer service and have been told that it will take 24 hours to do the transaction to fibre optic. (although they guaranteed before that will be no interaction of the services). To cut the story short, we spend a month with endless phone calls on the costumers services promising that we are going to be connected every time after max 24 hours and at the end they told us that our line has no capacity for fibre and we should start a new contract for normal broadband and wait another 2 weeks minimum to be reconnected!
    We cancel our contract with them ended to having 2 months with no internet and we are still getting letters in regards to our account!!! that is no existence any more!!!!!

    TRAIN your Costumer SERVICES!!!!! they are not even able to access the history of an account!!! they are extremely unprofessional and bad-mannered.

    Awful,absolutely awful. Not only has my bill gone up, but I can barely access the Internet as I get the dreaded red light at least 5 times a day. Another customer lost as their CS team simply doesn't care

    I called to cancel my account and the woman laughed at my face when I told her that I was cancelling because I was worried that my personal and bank information could have been leaked to the hackers involved in the crime. She was completely arrogant and sarcastic, literally laughing.

    Worst IP company I have dealt with. It was my first year with them. I will make sure I wont come back ever again. 1 year of problematic connection was enough. When my contract has already expired(about 2-3 months ago) they demanded me tobpay so called cancellation fee. Which is absolute ***** of a rip off. Avoid at all costs. Hidden fees everywhere.

    This is truthfully the most abismal piece of tripe on the market. I'm having to type this review on my phone as the WiFi simply does not work. Utterly abismal and I would give 0 stars if the option was there. Save yourself and go someplace else.

    Very poor fibre optic! Hasn't worked since we had it and now we are stuck in a contract! That bad I use the hotspot on my iPhone to use the laptop in my home. They don't care about you as soon as you sign up. STAY AWAY FROM TALK TALK.

    Evasive & difficult to deal with when negotiating deals. Will withold information and be selective with facts in order to get you to sign up to a rubbish deal. It seems that their call centre is somewhere abroad and it is very difficult to understand the english being spoken by the agents. Avoid this company like the plague!

    Can't wait for my contract to be over with this company. They will give you 4 year old technology and deny it. They refused to deal with you over the phone unless you are at home and doing checks on the computer, and after you do that. They refuse to do anything about it.

    Also no one on the phone speaks English or knows anything about technology they are clearly reading a script (badly)

    If you are new in the UK and looking for an internet provider, save youtself the headache

    Service is highly variable in speed and connectivity.

    Customer service is absolutely atrocious; almost impossible to actually get to speak to someone and when you do (by threatening to leave) they are completely script based and of no actual assistance whatsoever.

    Talk Talk has an extremely poor customer service, there phone services are soo terrible. there is not point even having internet as it would not work in the next room. i have cancelled my contract with Talk Talk and paid the cancellation fee and asked if there is any other payments and the answer i got was this is all now after couple months the are asking me to pay £20.00. do not join talktalk. it is very poor and i wouldnt even want to rate them 1 star.

    Absolute garbage.
    I've been with them for 2 months. I have been on the phone to talktalk for over 15 hours.
    They gave me a "deal" for £26 pound a month. They put the wrong address.
    I called them and informed them of this. They had to delete that whole account and start anew. They couldn't use the same email so I had to create another. Gave me the same "deal for £26.
    Got the email, charging me £28 per month. Called them and informed them of this. Was told "The operations manager will look into this and we promise your bill will be £26". First bill came after 2 weeks of me going live and it was £42. £28 regular and £14 pro-rata charge.
    I've phoned and informed them of this. They refunded the £14 and as "good-will" they upgraded me to a faster Internet for £26. Spent another hour providing details again.
    Next bill is £28.
    I've called to inform them of this. They then give me a £20 credit to last until end of contract. 18x£2 is apparently £20. They then added another £16 when I bought this up. Also turns out that the hour I spent on the phone giving my details to "upgrade" to a faster Internet wasn't actually done.
    I am now awaiting the complaints team to cancel the whole contract unless they want to pay me an hourly wage for doing all their work for them.
    How can so many different teams be so incompetent?
    Absolute garbage.

    I used to be a talk talk customer. It was all ok at the first place. I had the download speed of 36 when I first got the deal and after some time it dropped down as low as 1-9. I made several phone calls but nothing had been done or sorted. This went on about 7-8 months and I decided to change my provider. I switched to sky and I m now paying 3 times more than I used to pay to talk talk, but I m now very happy with the connection and all of the other services. Not only this, I still keep receiving bills from talktalk despite I left them about 3 months ago because I have been told that I don’t have to do anything because my new provider was going to do everything on my behalf. I receive mails with my bills inside(bills of something that I haven’t even been able to use) and I can’t even reply to those mails as it doesn’t allow me to do so. You can’t even talk or connect anyone if u want to cancel something but instead if u want to buy or upgrade , they are very prompt to answer and talk to you.
    I don’t even understand why this company is called TalkTalk, when they can’t even talk to anyone. Funny and ridiculous.
    People, you better pay a bit more and get no hassle. Stay away from this TalkTalk ****.

    Charged when I didn’t even have a box from the provider ! Over charged for 3 months when it was cancelled have made my life hell ! Utterly shocked by the awful treatment I received would never recommend will be contacting trading standards as they took more money out of the account than they should just rip off merchants utterly disgusting service

    One of the worst company's ever. There customers service is disgusting and non existent. There service is poor and there where constant drops in connections and various other issues. When our contract finally ended we moved to a fabulous new provider (there are many to choose from these days) however talk talk didnt end our contract and have now sent bailiffs after us for £40. If you want a life full ofnhassel and crap join talk talk broadband!

    As many other people's reviews, it pained me to give even one star for their customer service, if you could even call it that!
    I have had no issues with the speed of my broadband or phone line. However, one day we decided to switch to the Esential TV package and remove our anytime call boost. We were not told that this package is basically a paying Freeview! Our package was supposed to go live in 5 - 8 business days, we received our Youview box and connected it up. Knowing it was not yet live. I made a call to a family member in England at 2.45pm. I received an email at 5.32pm saying you package had gone live. I found out that the call I made was charged £7.30 on to my bill. The call was only for one hour!
    I went onto the chat to ask for an explanation and was told that nothing could be done, I escalated. I know it's for a small amount, but that was not my point. This was a week ago! I arranged a manager to call me back the next day at 6pm as I work during the day, they phoned me at 2pm. I could not understand one work the manager said on the voice message as he was speaking very fast and the accent was terrible. I arranged another callback, that didn't happen. It is now a week later and callbacks have never happened. Staff continuously promise callbacks at my desired time.
    I work in customer care for a well known company, I am appalled at the service. I work hard every day to make sure my customers are happy, they barely lift a finger. I will not recommend this company. STAY AWAY!!

    Honestly if it were possible to give zero I would. Temperamental connections, total disregard for personal data and the worst customer service I have ever encountered. Do yourself a favour and stay well away from this company unless you want to spend hours of your life in correspondence with them over the slightest issue.

    Terrible company, avoid at all costs! Customer service slow, incompetent and rude. Have wasted many hours on the phone being treated like dirt. I went a month without internet because engineer after engineer failed to turn up, so wasted hours sitting at home waiting for them for nothing. Every time I called talk talk I had to explain the whole situation again, put on hold for 20 minutes at a time with no explanation. Each time promised another engineer appointment which failed to materialise. Eventually after a month of no service was forced to cancel with talk talk and am still owed money which I am having great difficulty getting back. Worst company I have ever come across.

    The worst broadband company ever! Do not make the same mistake I did and join some other company, whatever pound you can save with them it will not be worth it. I had been for mora than a year with constant drops in my internet, I reported this and said that it was very likely the router starting to fail. The would just make me go round in circles doing some very time consuming diagnostics for nothing, as not until the router was fully gone and had no internet for 2 days they wouldn't agree to send me a new one. Not only this, but they said they would send and engineer to fix it to then discover this was never booked so one day without internet became 3 days. After this I said I would leave TalkTalk and move to another company, they managed to convince me to stay and said that there is this special "loyalty number" I could call for now on where they just send you a new router without barely asking anything. This I thought was incredible, as apparently, they do discriminate between their own clients. They make you go through a very long, unnecessary and impossible to stand process when you have internet issues, but then if you have threatened then to leave they give you this "fast track" number to get things done quickly. Why no just give a nice service ane costumer service in the first place is you hace been a loyal costumer from the beginning? Why have to suffer what I had to suffer of a whole year with constantly dropping line, 3 days of no internet and so much wasted time in the phone for costumer service? But the unprofessional attitude of this company doesn't end here The router was replaced and I had internet for literally 2 days before the router started failing again and then had no internet once more, my guess, this replacement router wasn't new and was a second hand or repaired one. I said that was it and was going to switch companies once and for all as this was not acceptable. I called this loyalty number to report the issue and the answer from the lady was "I can send you a new router right now if you stay with us if not I need to pass you with normal costumer service and have to go through the whole process again to get a new router", amazing. I refused to stay with them as this was now becoming something of a joke, so I had to be on the phone 1 whole hour during working hours and is the only times you can call and argue quite badly (otherwise it would have been 2h on the phone) to get a new router sent. They finally agreed to book me an engineer to replace the router for the next day, and this appointment was cancelled by them few hours before the appointment on a Saturday so I had to wait all weekend with no internet until a nee appointment on Monday. This is absolutely unbelievable. This whole things has caused my levels of stress and anxiety to go off the roof. Bad service, really cheap dodgy hardware and the most unbelievably unprofessional costumer service to. PLEASE, DO NOT GET INTO A CONTRACT WITH THIS PEOPLE FOR YOUR OWN SAKE AND MENTAL HEALTH.

    Unfortunately I have to give one star!!
    Absolutely horrendous. Internet hasn't worked since it was fitted. Two one hour sessions with on line engineers still not resolved it. Went through to customer services to cancel service as goods not for fit for purpose and was told I have to go without broadband working for 28 days as proof of not working in order to get out of contract!!
    Very poor customer services; completely scripted. Hung on for 20 minutes before being dealt with and got moved from pillar to post! Wouldn't touch them with a barge pole. My pet hamster could provide better customer service- and he's been dead for two years (RIP Hammy!)

    If I could give a zero star i would. This company is absolutely useless. I have had 10 months of no stable internet connection, they trying to charge me £65 plus VAT for a technician charge, yet the problem is still ongoing. Run if you can, you better off paying more. The customer service is rubbish, you can't understand them and they just don't care they getting their pay why should they care.

    Talk Talk is completely and utterly THE worst broadband supplier in the UK. We encounter problems every day without fail, and at one point out Internet was completely cutting out so we phoned customer service. First of all, the advisers were extremely cheeky and blunt. We were told that the Internet was not working because there was more than one device connected to the Internet. This of course is absolutely ridiculous as broadband is supposed to be able to support numerous devices. Basically, the woman told us that it was out fault that our Internet was not working and that she could do nothing about it. I would not recommend Talk Talk to even my least favourite of people but unfortunately we are stuck with it as because of where our home is situated we cannot get Virgin or Sky, but to anyone who can receive the better services, please do. I'm positive it would be money well spent compared to this terrible excuse for an internet provider.

    I had wanted to leave talk talk for many years, as the reliability of my broadband was very bad, I tried for months to resolve this but gave up, as not one person could help, the main problem is they don't listen to you and they really have no idea how to help. We called to cancel and was persuaded to get finer, we have less broadband and also no phone line for most of the time since we changed, and you have guessed it nobody can help. Terrible, terrible service, no matter what the deal, I would say don't go with them, as if you have a problem, they are useless at resolving it.

    Been without Internet connection about a week weds now and they haven't sorted it im switching to a better and cheaper broadband they are useless they scammers

    Was with Talk Talk for many years before moving to France for 7 years. On return I thought I might as well return to them. Wrong move. Internet drops off many many times a day. Had issues the other day as I couldn't reach a couple of sites I need. I realised that it was Talk Talk's problem as I couldn't access via my laptop, my husband's laptop or my phone. Was told to contact the sites as it was their problem. While on the phone I tried using my mobile data via O2 and surprise surprise reached the sites immediately. They took my virus alerts off and I was able to access them. The same day I phoned again as the speed was of little use, like old dial up. I was told it was my devices !!!! So, got on to BT and am changing over on the 27th and can't wait for that day to come. All in all I spend 4 1/2 hours on the phone to Talk Talk before I couldn't bear it any more. If you want to be diagnosed with blood pressure then a 6 month period of being with Talk Talk is recommended.
