    Absolute Rubbish.
Broadband often slow and gets stuck (we are on the new fast broadband supposedly) and no one can do anything about it.
Customer Service takes ages to pick up phone, takes about 5 minutes to go trough security questions (and keep on asking them every time they pass the call to someone else). Problems don’t get solved.
Now I have been told that it will take up to two months to obtain a copy of a bill from just over a year ago and I have been kept on the phone for 40 minutes for it.

I tried on two occasions (one online via chat, once on the telephone) to renew my contract with TalkTalk. Joanna on online chat was helpful but said I could not renew as your new database did not recognise my email address - which TalkTalk have been using to send statements, etc., for the past several years - and therefore she could not send me an email with my new contract. She said that perhaps I could set up an email address with hotmail or google, which I refuse to do simply for TalkTalk to send me the contract.

I suggested that she put it in the post, but she said she was unable to do this, and gave me the Customer Service telephone number which hopefully would be able to rectify the situation.

I accordingly rang the number she gave me and the young lady I spoke to was initially helpful, but also was unable to send me through the contract. She said she would look further into the problem and then abandoned my call, leaving me hanging on for 15 minutes until I ended the call.

Even though I have had issues with TalkTalk in the past, recently it has been working ok, and I was quite prepared to stay with the company, but I have been forced by TalkTalk's incompetence to research and go to another company for my broadband.

We changed our package when the contract ended. The lady on the phone kept talking even when we said the battery is going She said she would e mail us she did not. Now we cannot access our smart TV as it says the password is wrong even though we have the internet and printer on the same password. Is this coincidence? Why has she not e mailed us with the new contract/

Have been without internet from TalkTalk for 11 days and counting. They have wasted hours of our time on the chat, promising a router sending an engineer without a router who promised a router within three days which still has not turned up. We are completely frustrated. They do not provide the service they promise. Switching provider.

My Internet stopped working 14 days ago and Talktalk have done nothing to restore my service. I have had to sign up with an alternative company to provide my Internet due to no action by Talktalk. Absolutely terrible.

Not good service at all. We had trouble with the broadband connection all the way through with the TalkTalk. From last week there is no Internet connection in the house. Informed the customer service team several times a week on still there is no help. Won't recommend them to anyone. I have informed them about my daughter is in great distress as she is starting her exams and she can't prepare because the Internet is not available. Everytime they say to you that they will do everything to help but don't even want to help. Terrible service...!!

One star as I can’t give less. 7 months into a broadband contract and the service has stopped. Reported immediately and they say an engineer is on their way. 4 days later same story. Chased them every day. No progress, no news, no internet. Counting the months until we can move away from TalkTalk.

    Idiots.
Ended my broadband contract 16 months ago and returned the equipment in the envelope provided.
Got another envelope yesterday to return the equipment.
Emailed them and it is like talking to my backside.
    Asking for my account number
    I told them I don't have one, I did 16 months ago.
    Blocked their emails. Complete idiots.

The internet service with talk talk has always been average and I out lasted my contract though I was ok with allowing the internet service to continue, which was more down to my laziness. But enough was enough of slow internet and thats their Fibre 65 which is supposed to be great, sadly not. I now have tried on three attempts to cancel my use of their service and its like they don't give you an easy option to cancel. They try to push it on my new provider to cancel with Talk Talk which seemed weird to do so but Three who I have moved to saidd it was 100% on TalkTalk to cancel it. After my third attempt of telling them to cancel and well within my billing period (12 days) before the next months usage would be used they have told me I am to act like I'm using the next months internet and i then pay for it and then also send them the equipment back in that time. Why should i pay for another month that I won't even use as I made it clear I am already using Three's service.
I was wondering what would happen if i just cancel the direct debit after I pay this this months internet which I also asked the advisor? I was told not to do that, and see out the extra month I won't even be using.
I then also asked could I get the transcript of this phone call or motre info on all that we have spoken about as well as the instructions in this cancelation process. I did not get this I instead get an email 'We'd love for you to stay" - We'd love you to stay, and because we know that value matters to you, we'd like to help you find a new plan that works for you. It could save you the hassle of leaving.
I called them three times and its like talking to a wall they are so difficult!

I had to cancel my account due to a sudden and dramatic rodent infestation which caused me to leave the apartment that I was renting. Talktalk kept billing me despite my many attempts to cancel my account, they then made me wait a year, would occasionally start billing me again. I'd contact them desperately trying to cancel, only to be met with contradictions or arrogance across the phone. I have spent 10+ hours on the phone, and I've sent 60+ emails. I'm no closer to cancelling my account then I was when I started.

Do not use talktalk, ever. Like, seriously, use another company. Talktalk's operation is closer to a scam than a reputable company.

Moved house in October and started service from TalkTalk broadband from day one it never worked TV buffered WhatsApp was totally unusable had to turn Wi-Fi off my phone and use data. Talking to the customer service was worse than useless it was a complete wind up took a month to get through to somebody in Manchester who actually did what they said they would and terminated our contract we were given the runaround put through to technical services on no account ever agree to be put through to these people as they are in South Africa the line is in audible and they just keep you hanging on an empty line the online chat seems helpful but when you end it nothing is followed up and no notes put on your account so next time you call you are back to square one again eventually we got rid of these people and have now gone with a proper broadband company

Absolutely clueless. Had 2 agents at my door hounding me to sign up just so they could get a sale. 2 young boys, very inexperienced in my opinion. Told them numerous times I wasn't interested and they kept chapping my door. I had 3 young kids at home aged 5,2 and 6 weeks old. Felt very anxious to the point I thought if I just sign up then cancel the next day they'll go away. 1 boy said it was the others first day and needed a sale he'd be so grateful if I could help. Felt very pushed into it,stupidly signed up with them.Took forever standing at the door, they were making general chit chat but were swearing constantly and my 2 oldest children kept coming to the door to see who it was and could hear the swearing. I told them I couldn't stay much longer I had kids to feed and put to bed as it was half 6 going on 7pm. Felt very threatened, they kept saying almost done thanks for your patience, tried shutting the door and 1 put there foot against it to prevent me from doing so. I felt so angry and upset. Tried phoning to say I wanted to cancel 5 mins after they left and what a surprise got the automated message sorry we're closed now. Tried phoning today to cancel, spoke to 5 different people who kept going round in circles asking for my name, postcode. Spoke clearly and they couldn't understand me as they didn't speak very good English. Kept saying I'll put you through to the cancellation team, someone else came on the phone to take my details. Same thing again, I'll put you through to the cancellation time. Managed to speak with someone who said they've put a note on my account saying I want to cancel so I hope that's it sorted now and never have to experience dealing with this company again. Prefer my provider EE who I have been with for 6 years.

Been with talktalk for years so was happy with the offer of now tv cinema offer of £5 a month. For grandchildren over xmas. However! 10 days and still no talktalk, chatted to customer services 3 times to sort out. Gone past the will be sorted in 5 to 7 days and the latest response? It will be sorted when its sorted and we'll let you know when that is. Will be leaving when contract up as customer service is pathetic.

Do not use talk talk broadband & line rental.
Save yourself endless stress & aggravation from start to finish. then when you leave & swap to another provider it's not over yet.
They keep billing you month after month & add fees when you say it's been terminated on your account & new provider gave them notice on same day I did, that was leaving in 30 days time within the last 14 days of contract in their t&C's.

Utterly incompetent does not describe them enough.

    OFCOM are being informed.

What a bunch of cowboys. Should have gone live 9/12/22. Nope didn’t happen. Phoned everyday, to be told would be up and running by 9pm. Nope. On 20 December am engineer finally sent, fault on line but, he couldn’t connect me because he couldn’t carry out his checks. I have complained and requested callbacks, no contact until 21 December to be told I will have to pay £181 cancellation fee and £34 for the service I haven’t received since 9 December. Do not give them the time of day absolutely awful way to terest people very upset and angry at the lack of service, customer service or support

Trying to get any sense from customer services is impossible. I changed my provider 11th Nov but the new provider forgot to inform Talk Talk. I informed tham on 18th Nov that the provider had changed but they insisted they would not disconnrct me for another month which was chargeable! I accepted that but then they chargrd me for the next month again. When I phoned them they denied any record of my notifying them I was leaving. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told one woulf call in the next 48 hours. When I said I was not prepared to stand by my phone for that length of time I was left on the phone with noone redponding to me. Considering the recorded message they transmit at the start of the call it is obvious they don't listen to those call recordings!

Been having issues installing my wifi hub. Tried chatting with several staff on it but they keep tossing me about, then just go off the chat. Sent a mail as well but no resolution. But immediately I cancelled my direct debit, boom, they sent me a mail. How can I pay for a service I have not been able to use?

Good internet speed and reliabiliy. Customer service was generally good for basic enquiries.

However, they scheduled Openreach to install fiber without consulting us, openreach damaged the property and getting talktalk to follow up the complaint was impossible. They shut off our internet for a week because they forgot to deliver the new router. Sneaky 30 day cancellation period. Overall a poor experience.

If 0 was possible I would still be classed as benevolent. Tried to close an account today! Two hours of back and forth, transfer, what you like sir, transfer, here's an out of hours contact number to call, alright, here's a number you can call, but we can offer you a better deal. I DON'T WANT ONE!! Now I've got to give them 30 days notice, I think I'm out of contract anyway. Hum ho, gladly pay an extra month to be rid of these incompetents. Sad, because never had a problem with their service (technical), sad to say their customer service is not even comparable to a TV comedy show. Next time I need a contract, sorry ladies and gentlemen at Talk Talk, you won't even be in the game! APPALLING.

My mum has talktalk broadband, she is deaf. Cityfibre (talktalk contractors) came round and upgraded her broadband to fibre, and left without plugging the router in or testing the line. No matter how many times I ring TT tech services they will not send an engineer out to fix it because I am not my mum, even though she cannot speak on the phone without me being there because she is deaf! Put simply, they have the worst customer services imaginable. 6 weeks after cityfibre screwed up her broadband, she is still without the services she pays for and TT are making absolutely no effort to fix it.

I have never experienced worse customer service worse than TalkTalk. FULL STOP.

1 hour on the phone only to be cut off, 2 hours on web chat only to be eventually transferred (ignored), they just wait for you to give up and leave as they can not be bothered to sort your issue out, I simply wanted to amend a new order (A NEW CUSTOMER!!!). I then got to the point that I wanted to cancel the order as the drone simply came back with constant irrelevant questions and at every point, I have to wait for 5, 10, or 20 + min for a single reply.

    Avoid at all costs!

Promise the earth, deliver little. I was supposed to get a new modem when I renewed my contract, several conversations later I am still waiting. The old one has packed up so no internet. Time to buy myself out of my contract. If you have any sense you will stay away.
It will cost me £210 to buy myself out of the contract but worth every penny. My son plays his Xbox online but the broadband drops regularly; it's not stable. He has ADHD and has wrecked his room due his frustration with the service.

Technical support completely useless. My router packed up, so contacted support they say oh theres a problem on the line, we'll send an engineer.

I told them about the situation and to send a new router. Rather than wasting time and resource on sendingan engineer. But oh no they have to send the engineer.

I went and bought a new third party router and plugged it. Shocker my internet now works.

Will be looking to leave them now for a provider with better customer service.

I literally could not rate this lot any lower. If I could leave no stars, I would. I’ve been trying to cancel with them for MONTHS. I lost my husband and was moving back in with family, hence no longer requiring internet. I’ve been out of contract for months so it shouldn’t have been an issue. They made me pay £97 to close the account, then told me they would only cancel it once I found someone else to “take over”. They’ve charged me almost £300 since cancelling for no reason (my monthly will was only £37). I don’t even have the router anymore, constantly send threatening messages to me and when I try to call, they pass me between on average 3-5 people for 2-3 hours at a times. They also told me my husband dying “wasn’t my problem” and that “they’d be checking to see if I’m lying”.

Please just don’t use them. They’re set up like some sort of fraudulent bullying scheme that takes your money and won’t let you leave.

The worst company I've ever signed up to. Not enough time to list the amount of issues I've had with them. Someone should just put them out of their misery and shut them down already smh.

I cant wait for my contract to finish so i can leave TalkTalk.
For the second time in two years i have had to replace the router & pay for it myself. The frustration of dealing with what i believe is an Asian call centre with staff that has such a strong accent you cant understand them is ridicules. With both routers i spent at least 4 hours trying to explain the problem with person at the other end reading script of a screen & saying please hold while i talk to a supervisor about 10 times on each call. It was far quicker for me just to buy another router. But £70.00 for the 1st one & £60 for the second. In both cases, it solved the problem in 2 seconds flat. I will be so glad to leave.
