The worst customer service that you will ever receive. Do not touch this company. Had broadband cancel it because it was too slow and you could never get support. Kept my phone biggest mistake. Customer service staff do not take notes, Do not return calls are rude and impolite. Managers do not call you back. Do not touch this company worst decision you will make.

STAY AWAY!!! My services were cancelled by the Post Office for them to take over. They did not take over on the date promised by them. On contacting them they told me nothing, they have no structure or customer service skills. On sending in a formal complaint, this was addressed with promise of getting back to me. I am STILL waiting. I have now been without phone and broadband for a full month. DO NOT USE THE POST OFFICE FOR ANYTHING!!!!

The absolute worst broadband I have ever had. Think my original dial up modem was quicker and more reliable. Took the hit on the cancellation fee and switched provider it was that bad. Avoid at all costs - the cheap monthly payment is not worth the misery!

I am totally disappointed with this service at the time I terminated my contract, I sent the email requesting to terminate on the contract end date and received an automated response. I then went on with another service provider. Received email asking to pay £29 two weeks later and customer services said they didn’t receive the email. Therefore have to bill me till mid September. I then asked to speak to a manager and was told to send the original email again and they will produce the final bill backdating from the when I gave the notice. So the final bill would be for few days charges. Two weeks later I’m being chased again asking to pay £29 outstanding bill, once again spent my Saturday dealing with the customer service and sorted the final bill for £3 and even paid it off, I specifically told that I don’t want to receive any more phone calls and couple of hours later again I’m receiving a call asking me to pay £29. I again wasted my time trying to call and told to ignore the call, really nasty experience and I will never use this service again or recommend it to anyone.

Absolutely awful worst broadband I have ever had, even the old dial up system was better than these.
The modems are complete rubbish the technical support isn't told me I needed a new printer, spent £80 on a new one and still didn't work properly.
Avoid at all costs, I'm stuck with them for another 16 months

Moved to postoffice broadband a few months ago and it has been slow and poor. It does not connect to our chromecast and the WiFi doesn’t connect to one of the laptops, neither have been an issue with other routers. The WiFi is regularly not working for a few minutes and requires a restart. There is a general outage today and the post office does not update their customers via email or text as to what’s happening. If you’re working from home or relying on their internet for your studies please don’t be tempted by any of their deals, it’s poor value for money.

Had the worst experience with Post office broadband and service. We paid for a service we never received and were not compensated for this huge error. We were hung up on numerous times and told we were misinterpreting what the customer service people were saying. Dreadful.

I can't comment on the speed and reliability as I didn't get that far. Whilst ordering/switching from my current provider the Post office site crashed just after the credit check so did not complete. I was sent an email to continue and the link didn't work. When I called to complete over the phone I was told that the order had been cancelled and I would have to start again including another credit check. Apparently I had been phoned three times however no message was left so I had no idea that they had called. Very unhelpful customer service who clearly did not want to resolve my problem so I said I would leave it. As far as 'telecoms' are concerned it was a complete fail. I think the post office needs to stick to what they are good at as if that is a demonstration of their telecommunication I will stick with EE thank you very much.

How I wish I had read these reviews before signing up in August last year! The broadband speed is appalling. I have phoned several times to complain, the latest being last week when I was advised to submit three speed tests per day for a week through their support website. I followed this to the letter, phoned today and was told none had been received! Was also informed would have to pay £140 if I wanted an engineer to come out to check. In five months I have rarely been able to watch anything through my android box.Terrible service. Avoid at all cost.

Never ever ever go with the post office!!! We were with them for 8 months and could only use the Internet for about 1 month of the whole time!! Constantly cutting out, would not send an engineer to check the line!! Then told us that another company had taken over our line and charged us a cancellation fee!! Absolute joke. Now refusing to give me my Mac code, telling me we do not have one!!! Avoid at all costs.

I regret this decision so much, we joined with them 6 months ago, our router was delayed getting here then they set back our date for another 2 weeks despite me pleading that I am starting Uni and need internet, then for the price and hassle they offer the slowest internet it seems in the area and the router is so unreliable we have to reset it every other day.

We;re leaving now but then we have a huge cancellation fee to pay up on which I think is ridiculous

The Post Office is slow and unreliable, if you ever feel like life is passing you by too quickly, Post Office have the perfect cure, sign up to a year contract, and believe me, time slows down, as you find yourself counting down the days until the end of the contract.
I terminated my contract at the end of the 12 months, agreed an end of service date, they sent me an email confirming the agreed date, only for them to sever my connection 4 days early, leaving me without an Internet connection, and just nonchelantly saying, it's gone now, we can't do anything about it, as I complained.
    Avoid this provider

I joined the Post Office two months ago and realise now you get what you pay for. They gave me a 'live date' which got moved on two days without informing me therefore I was without any internet as old provider ended. Wifi drops out mostly evenings and morning (the busy times according to the P.O.) however no problems using several devices within the home re connection. The worse thing I find is getting hold of them by phone. Several times recently I've rung and no one to take my call. Will leave at the end of my 18 mth contract.

I called to report the death of my father, who was the account holder. The first operative I spoke to assured me explicitly that there would be a 7 week period where I could choose a weekday to terminate the service, which would allow me time to sort the new supply. This was necessary as the property is tenanted with 3 small children reliant on the internet for home school. I communicated this to Post Office.

I was forwarded over to the bereavement team who immeadiately told me they have put a stop on the account and the maximum I now have is 2 weeks. This is not enough time to sort a new supply for the family. Mark, the manager in bereavement I was put on to (eventually, after being told I was ineligible to speak to management via a callback as I was not the account holder...who is dead...) was condescending and patronising in his tone. He told me I was repeating myself, despite the fact I was asking different questions, and clearly couldn't wait to get off the phone. He was completely averse to even discussing an option, such as me paying for the interim period and simply not incurring an early termination fee, despite my actions being a result of the original Post Office employee giving me false information.

The individuals involved in this customer service were inept, incorrectly informed and condescending. They were passive aggressive and rude. Steer well clear of Post Office, the last thing you want when a family member has just died is to have to deal with people like this.

Letter to PO: Firstly, if you try to phone please use 07******* after 16:30, I have tried to call you on several occasions without being able to get through.
I have contacted both watchdog and the ombudsman regarding this matter.
I have BIG problems with both speed and connection as well as I cannot get access to several sites including National Lottery, Post code Lottery and the tobacco prices in Adernkirk as they are blocked along with a hoard of other sites. All of which I did not ask to be blocked.
I have issues connecting equipment including VERY SLOW access and constant buffering with TV, NOW TV, SKY,NETFLIX watching anything on laptop and phone via broadband, cannot connect ALEXA, (She see's you but refuses to connect) plus, every 2-3 days, I have no internet at all and have to re-boot the system.
    THIS CANNOT CONTINUE!
How am I suppose to get all this sorted when I cannot get through on the phone?
I cannot even cancel as I cannot get through, I cant change my provider as you have blocked it. What is going on?
Perhaps if I stop my DD you will get in touch?
Would you call me before Sat 16th so you can rectify these problems.
Once again call after 16:30 before Sat 16th on 07*****. If you text 5 mins before the call I will be waiting.

I had a 12 month contract which expired 02/03/2021. However even though the paperwork stated my contract expired post office auto renewed my service and upped the cost by 50%.

The customer service is poor and the assistant I soke to got quite defensive of their auto renewal process and called it 'industry standard'. Bit of a scam to be honest.

Do never get in touch with this company. I used to be with fuel and post office took it over without saying me anything. With fuel was 20 pounds a month but post office charged me over 30 pounds (for 12 mb) a month changing my contract without informing me. When I called them they only said its because i am on opened account. What is it??? They said I have no contract. How could i not have contract if i was in contract with fuel and they took me over???? Don't understand....
They charged me for months like this

Was cheap when I took the contract out and now I know why. 16 months of the line dropping, continuous interruptions. My upload speed drops to 1mb/s which is fine by technical support, who advised they can’t test this? Netflix and Amazon movies don’t think it’s fine. I’ve watched so many movies and have no idea how they end. It’s so bad I’m ending my contract early.

From 2014 to 2018, the PO were excellent. Easy to reach help etc.. Now I realise that I am paying hiked up prices for a poor service. I have two properties and they merged them into 1 account. Only 1 change is permitted every 2 weeks. So I waited for two weeks to be told that I. Then I am told that, although FTTC is available, they can't provide it. Also they can't provide the normal ADSL service. Instead, I must stay on PO 'Broadband Connect' which is slower and twice the price due to high maintenance costs. Do not accept this contract as others can provide a faster ADSL line, or even fibre. I now plan to change, but every provider seems to suffer the same poor customer service and unreliable internet. With 1 year contracts to be locked into, make sure you have a guarantee of no-fee exit if they can't deliver the advertised speeds.

If I could give minus stars I would. My standard broadband speed is 0.5 Mbps and the contract says 11 Mbps average speed. Called technical support many times and gave up after 30mins waiting time but eventually persisted today (had to take 1hr out my working day to get through) and was greeted by a very rude and abrupt agent who said "believe me you don't want to be here". He told me the near non-existent speed was likely due to a fault with my buildings wiring. I explained it was fine with the old provider (I switched due to being out of contract and paying £44 pm for standard ADSL bb). The problem started the day I used the post office router. I am waiting on an engineer I'm told will take a week to come out. The minute I can cancel (one they fail to resolve the issue within 28 days) I will.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - read reviews beforehand unlike me I got caught and blinded by the seemingly cheap deal..its only cheap if you get a normal service

I have been with the post office several years and have had very little problems with them, until the last year. They have put the prices up, I tried to speak to customer services to speak to them about the cost, but a machine told me the call rate was so high I would be better to hang up because the chances are I would be cut-off. So I e-mailed them and asked them to call after 17.00, but they never they left a message to ask me to call back. I e-mailed again but no response. Over the Easter weekend we had no e-mail tried to phone again, same response. I am seriously considering looking for another provider but I have looked at the reviews for most providers and all of them have more negative then positive reviews. Are there any providers out there who are any good?

I took their broadband offer of £15.90 a month 10 months ago and I can’t wait until I can bin it and go somewhere else, ANYWHERE else.
I moved to this “service” on the basis of cost because Sky who provided us with a brilliant service were going to bill me £29 a month which I thought was expensive.
SO …… where do I start? With Sky we were getting a consistent 8mb, with Post office, 4mb if we’re lucky and frequently not much quicker than ISDN.
When I queried this with their laughable “tech support”, I had some Dixon’s reject telling me that it was all down to “wireless interference” from outside of our property, i.e. a neighbor was causing the mayhem. Yes, really.
SO, for four consecutive nights I hauled myself out of bed at 4.am when all of my neighbours were fast asleep and guess what? No change at all.
THEN there are the multiple daily breaks in service and I do mean daily….and I do mean multiple.
In fact it broke for 10 minutes while I was trying to submit this review.
Anyway, we have two more months of the contract to run and if they paid ME to continue with it I wouldn’t touch it with a ten foot barge pole.

BUYER BEWARE- 14 DAYS WITHOUT INTERNET!!!
The short story is the Post Office left us internet-gazumped. For 14 days, imagine- no streaming services, my wife (who is studying her Masters) unable to study, we both unable to work from home- having to have work conference meetings at relatives’ houses etc. A complete nightmare.
    Here is what happened
The horror stories are true. But with the Post Office, the experience was so bad before I had even got my broadband. I purchased the broadband through the Post Office website. They contacted my then-provider. As my custom was going over to the Post Office, the then-provider in-affect begins the switch-over process. Please note, that once this takes place, the then-provider is unable to cancel the cancellation of their services unless the Post Office makes the request. I was informed (by the then-provider) they had received the request for a switch-over and it would happen in 15 days’ time.
One week later I received an email from the Post Office saying they had rejected my order because the landline information was incorrect. After speaking to the then-provider, I confirmed the landline details. Rather than complete the existing order, Post Office created a new order.
A day later I received another email rejecting my order again, this time because “someone had already put in a request to take over the line”. When I pointed out that someone was them, they told me they were unable to complete the order until the initial 15 days was complete then is would be a further 14 days until they could provide the internet. And because my then-provider had begun the switch-over process, they were unable to continue the internet to that time because they hadn’t received a request to cancel the cancellation, once Post Office rejected the first order.
Confused? Try spending 3 hours on a Saturday on the phone trying to find out what went wrong…

I have stopped receiving emails for the last three and a half days to date. PO Broadband customer service said that it is due to maintenance and should be fixed within 24 hours. Some hope! They haven`t even informed their customers what had happened either via email or on their website. Absolutely abysmal service.

Used to be fine, these days it seems to be off more than on. Terrible.

Avoid at all costs. Total mess up Placed an order and we were given date and waited 2 weeks for engineer and on the day no one turned up Had to phone to find out why he hadn't turned up Supervisor told me that the problem was sorted and promised we would be on line within a week. Should have been connected yesterday I have spent over 2 hours on the phone to try to get this sorted and although l had been assured by Supervisor that he would sort the problem out we have been told that l would have to start another order and have to wait nearly 3 weeks We have had 3 routers delivered
