The worst broadband provide I have ever had. Internet keep disconnecting almost every day. I contacted customers support but they keep saying that they don't see any problem. They didn't solve the problem during 6 months. Internet speed is so poor that the best way to use it is to connect a pc and laptop to router via cable. Wifi signal is very poor. Avoid Post Office Broadband!

In the day I usually get about a solid 18mb/s. As soon as it's night, drops to roughly 210kb/s. Literally impossible to do anything. Frequent, random disconnects. And no, it's not because everyone in my household uses the wifi at night. They're on it all day but 6pm onwards the speed is abysmal. A big F-U to this broadband.

Avoid Post Office Broadband. The service provided is dreadful. My experience has been constant interrupted service or no service at all. Customer Services tonight were tonight 27 January 2021 were arrogant and unhelpful and told me I would wait 15 days for upgrade to Fibre. If I wanted to stop my contract there would be a penalty. Could it be any worse!!!!

Apalling customer service! I have been without internet for 4 weeks now after changing address, have spoken to 5 different people and still haven't got my WiFi activated. Every time I contacted the customer services department, the answer they gave us was " We will call you in a week/couple of days ".

Despite recent work on the cabling, we are getting just 0.36 mb/s download speed, much like an old modem. We used to get 11.50 mb/s or thereabouts. I have written to POBroadband support team, they quote around ten days to reply, but usually don't reply ever. They also kept escalating our costs, until the bank queried it. No refunds. Explanation was that original plan had expired, but they could not tell me that. We pay around £35 pcm for Broadband and Phone line. HELP! Please ! GJ

The worst broadband service I've ever received. A soon as I switched over - the problems started. At the worst point I had no broadband for nearly 24 hours. Intermittent loss of broadband - I ended up purchasing BT pay as you go broadband because due to the lockdown, internet has become essential especially for the children who have remote education.

I had a nightmare experience with the Post Office. I've paid for 50mbps speed but got 3-4mbps. I had to raise 3 complaints and called them at least 10 times, then they've booked the Openreach appointment and nobody turned up. The customer services are beyond abysmal, their electronic telephone identification takes a very long time but it does not work. I was on the phone for hours only to be put on hold and disconnected. I complained by email but never received any response. The customer service attitude was 'I don't care, leave me alone' type. I honestly can say that I've never experienced anything this bad, not even Talk Talk is THAT bad. I generally think the telecom companies in the UK provide exceptionally bad service and Virgin was also pretty terrible but this provider... Please stay away from them. If you have a problem with them - you are on your own.

Must be the worst company I ever used for BB in terms of service!! (& that's saying something as I used to be with talktalk who are diabolical).

Terrible speed, regular daily cut offs in service for lengthy periods at a time, and definitely not worth the money I've been paying. Their comms leave a lot to be desired too. Frankly, they should've been paying me to use them! I'm in the process of switching provider now, but would not recommend PO bband in the slightest - unless you want high blood pressure & constant frustration!

Like an idiot I went with these cowboys for broadband.
I had faster 56k dial up. When the internet went down which it did almost every day it was our fault according to the advisor at post office.
We were supposed to have an engineer in August and we’re still waiting now.
The advisors were rude as always interrupting me when I was trying to ask them something.
Now I have switched away and before my final bill has arrived the idiots have set debt collectors onto me.
    For less than £20.

Quite simply the worst provider i have ever had, if it ever actually works, it is so slow that i can easily make a coffee while simple non graphic intensive page loads up. The so called technician came, looked, and I quote, "your equipment, a laptop one week old brand new is too old". Damn pathetic, and obviously not well trained technicians. I rang sky, and have internet in less than 48 hours of placing my order

Any slight change and they say you have to start a new contract: moving address, changing the name on the account... And if you leave, you have to pay for the remainder of the contract, rather than just a leaving fee.

Don't sign up as once they've got you, you're locked in!

Great service. Change over was easy. So glad to be rid of talk talk. We've made 1 call to customer service, call was answered promptly and the agent was understanding, reassuring and knowledgeable. Really happy so far, not crashed once, it's only been a week but seem better than any other provider. Worth it for the comprehensive customer service. Oh, speeds are twice as fast as talk talk, whom they piggy back. Weird huh...

Quite simply the worst broadband I have ever had. Every day there were at least 4 connection losses, and each night around 10 PM you were guaranteed the internet would drop. I was unable to use my Chromecast the majority of the time as it could not connect to the wifi. You were lucky to make it through one episode on Netflix without at least 3 buffering periods. When contacting the Post Office about the poor service they were providing, they had nothing to say or do to improve it. I would not go back to this service if they paid me. I honestly don't know how they call this a broadband service.

the service is rubbish from the beginning. From start, the link to create internet account for managing this broadband is not working. I have complained about this more than 10 times already, send screen shots make movies how it doesn't work. Post office is sending the same not working link over and over, they not keeping track of conversation, helpless help line, avoid of all cost, I wish I have checked here before I ordered it.

The Post Office is slow and unreliable, if you ever feel like life is passing you by too quickly, Post Office have the perfect cure, sign up to a year contract, and believe me, time slows down, as you find yourself counting down the days until the end of the contract.
I terminated my contract at the end of the 12 months, agreed an end of service date, they sent me an email confirming the agreed date, only for them to sever my connection 4 days early, leaving me without an Internet connection, and just nonchelantly saying, it's gone now, we can't do anything about it, as I complained.
    Avoid this provider

PO as internet provider have failed me (and I believe others) miserably at a time when we in UK are in virtual lockdown and depend on Fb/Social Media and other IT facilities to check on family and friends - and in my case, also vulnerable clients!!! This is day 3 of Safeguard issues and limited connectivity - no contact, no explanation, and now telephone line can't take any more calls!!!!! Unacceptable way to treat paying customers......Time to move providers me thinks

An unbelievable experience wirth the best broadband provider in the UK bar none
I have used several failed ISPs in the past 10 years including sky, BT, virgin, and EE. Stressed and saddened by my poor broadband - my neighbour suggested PO Broadband as they have never been let down by the service and also mentioned their unbelievable customer support in which their problem was solved in one call when the agent successfully identified the microfilter being at fault. I have to say that three months in with the Post Office - this is by far the best provider in the UK and I would give them 6 out of 5 if it were possible. Getting started was so simple - their customer service is super quick with no less than 5 minutes waiting time per call with a friendly tech expert who is well informed and knows exactly what they are doing, the experience and knowledge shown was remarkable, and well above what is expected. They were also extremely friendly which helps. Unlike a lot of providers, late payments do not mean automatic switch-off of the service and the PO is very generous when it comes to paying back at a later more covenient time. The router is a modern, well-built Zyxel router that arrived on time. It is fast performing and not an eyesore in comparison to other routers. I am getting exactly as promised with 38 mgb/s. Me and my wife are able to use multiple devices at once and we just can't believe how efficient and fast this service is. What a brilliant company. Definitely renewing my contract next year. One up for PO Broadband.

Acording to Wikipedia, the Soviet Union fell in 1991 - as such, the people of the USSR never had any ecperience with boradband. If they had, I imagine it would probably have been like our experience woth the Post Office.

The slowest and least reliable internet I've experienced since dial up.

I wish I'd read these reviews before I signed up for Post Office broadband. Yes, it's cheap but a false bargain in that the connection constantly drops out (6 times an hour on more than one occassion). I live alone, have a laptop and mobile phone and do nothing more than email and watch the iPlayer, so not a heavy user at all. I didn't bother complaning as on a couple of other occassions I found that a) any calls to Customer Service take more than half an hour to connect and b) I found their staff either pleasant but unable to help or just plain surly. I endured my 12 month contract for 11 months and paid an early exit fee to swap to John Lewis. It doesn't cost much more (£1), includes free evening and weekend calls and a £40 John Lewis gift card. The difference is like night and day! There was an initial problem with my connection and I was given a £30 credit for the inconvenience. I've been enjoying a fast and stable connection since and can hardly believe it. Surely all broadband offered in the 21 century should be like this? I feel sad for Post Office Broadband. Their poor service will be their downfall, probably resulting in job losses. I wouldn't recommend this "service" to anyone.

We used Post Office at our previous place which was fair and moved our subscription to Warminster. The download speed here is acceptable though less than what we pay for.

The UPLOAD speed is HORRENDOUS. On its best days it can do as low as 2 mbps, but from time to time it drops to 0.2 mbps. This is just ridiculous.

Raising tickets is useless, Post office closes them without touching anything.

I'm truly dissatisfied because that is unacceptably slow and unstable.

Problems from the very start - it took 4 visits from the engineer to replace all wiring from telegraph pole to the phone socket and still very slow service that kept dropping. Nex to be blamed was the cordless telephone - replaced at my cost - still the same. In all it took 3 months to get a useable service which only dropped out once a week or so and was a reasonable speed until after I told them I would not be renewing my 1 year contract when the speed was cut in half. Switched to plusnet and set up 3 computers 2 phones and smart tv in half an hour.Speed is fast and stable.

Avoid at all costs, terrible service, no response to emails and taken more than 30 days to fix a line fault. The Bt customers in my road had theirs done in 48 hours but then BT have signed up to the voluntary codes of practice with £8 per day compensation paid for outages. PO have not and it’s no surprise as they van not deliver.

Catastrophic provider, the worst you will ever get. impossible to get a stable connection ...multiple complaints and attempts to contact their "support" service...but 2 years later i still have to work/leisure on this sort of connection.

network engineer ..so may not be obvious but timeout means you have no internet connection ...

I signed up with POST OFFICE BROADBAND in February 2020 and my 'services' started in March, just after lockdown. The first month was okish apart from it being slow but we got through it making allowances for more people at home due to the pandemic. What followed after than month has been nothing but STRESS.

The internet would stop working for a few minutes whilst you were just about to do something important. Inconvenience but we accepted it. Then (I have pictures to show) at 1AM, 1:30AM the internet would go down. One night/early morning it went down 11 times before we gave up and went to bed.

Then for some odd be known reason signals stopped being reached in the bedrooms and kitchen. We live in a small house of 12 steps, 5m x 7 meters, 2 floors!

We telephoned numerous times only to be told:
    1. We'll change your channel
    2. We'll change your name
    3. We only guarantee wired connections
    4. You need to buy a booster
    5. You have too many devices connected.(1 laptop, 3 mobiles and 1 printer)
    6. You have 3 (can't remember how many she said) wired devices connected. LIE LIE LIE. (We had not even thought of wired connections at this point)

Well we purchased an ethernet wire and 2 boosters. Still nothing worked so we asked a neighbour if we could use her internet for my son's school work. (A level classes being conducted over the internet due to lockdown) However she turns off her electricity at nights so he has to do what he can then brace himself for a night of failing internet.

This week has been my last straw. From Thursday last week the internet must have cut out 100 times!!!! Sometimes for minutes, other times for 30 seconds.
We don't live in the country where signals are predicted bad. We live in WEST LONDON!!

I telephoned AGAIN and was told if the light is no turning red then it must be signals. But we have it wired!!

This morning was the last straw. During a 15 minutes meeting with my congregation it dropped 8 times. One of which was during the prayer!! In the times we are living in we need something to keep us stable and POST OFFICE BROADBAND has taken this away from us as we no longer have connection with the outside world being locked in our homes.

I am on a limited budget and trying to do my best by my children however POST OFFICE BROADBAND has:
    - My child doing his school work at night, on the steps.
    - Me begging my pensioner neighbour to use her internet
    - Affected mine and my family's mental health
    - Put me and my children through countless stress and anxiety
    -Have lied, lied lied!!

If my child fails his A level exams this year I put the blame solely at your feet. He sat his GCSE last year and got grade 9s straight. His predicted A levels are A* x3.

I cannot wait for March to come so that I can end my contract with you. May NO ONE EVER use your 'services' again and may your business collapse and the honest people working for you find other jobs.

The worst broadband provider ever. Our broadband is down at least twice a week. We've been promised a new router numerous times. We can't leave our contract early without paying a £75 fee. They will not waive the fee despite the horrendous service. Customer Services are all talk. AVOID P.O. broadband like the plague.

After 7 months having non internet connection or having it but really badly, we contacted multiples times trying to get a solution due to the bad connection at home where I do work.
Each time me and my flatmate contacted the customer services department trying to get a solution, the answer they gave us is " We cannot help you out " without even check what was the issue.
Last month( after trying to get it during at least half year), the company sent an engineer to check the speed and the router, who confirmed us Router should be changed due to the device has more than 4 years and the issue could come from it.
The next day, after his explanation, we contacted Post office to ask for a new router. They refuse to replace it due to they did not have any evidence of router issue, lying to us because engineer confirmed he will pass the information to them.

We are changing provider because is unacceptable the behavior this company has with their clients , not caring AT ALL about issues could be easy fixed and not accepting to provide any kind of compensation regarding the issues we are having for more than 7 months.

Post Office Broadband is dire rubbish!
It is slow, continually stops to load ( not something big with lots of action either, just a song or piece of music on YouTube.
My computer and Tv are fairly new, there is only one user so the system isn’t overloaded and my neighbours who are with other providers don’t have problems.
And their usage is a lot higher than mine is.
To anyone who asks me, I say “STAY AWAY”.
I wish I could quit it now but there is still 6 months of my contract.
After that, I would not use it even if offered it for free!

I have had some drop outs but generally it works. The worst thing for me about POBroadband is their support via email, in that they either cut and paste a standard response to your issue or have staff that haven't actually bothered to read what you've sent them. This results in a response that is totally irrelevant. It's a bit like the Mony Python "Hungarian Phrasebook" sketch. I'd give no stars for email support if it were an option. Telephone support for the service itself, it is slightly better. The email front end is also rather clunky to use. I've asked numerous times over the last 12 months or more, where the online payment button has gone, and nobody has been able to answer the question to date. They really should improve in this "support" area. On a positive note they are fairly cheap so I guess you get what you pay for.

I wanted to write this review using the Internet but its dropped out again so I am having to use my phone data. That should tell you everything.
After all the promises of reliability if I upgraded to fibre I still have the same problems, I am just paying more for the same rubbish.
    Absolute pants!
