We can only get approx .5 download and upload. It says we should be getting.2.5 on ordinary copper lines and 3.5 on high speed copper lines. Others in the village is getting 3 to 4. Can you please look into this. Thanks.

I purchased the package detailed and was delighted with the speed and reliability initially. However for over a month the speed has been dropping as low as 0.41 Mbps, bearing in mind I'm on an up to 49.7 Mbps fibre connection. EE continue leaving me voicemails at 5.00 pm after I e-mail them, informing them I work until 5.30 pm and can they contact me at 7.30 pm. On each occasion they agree to that, then call at 5.00 pm stating they are unable to assist me because they can't get in contact! Next stop is Ofcom.

if i could give no stars i would. not fit for purpose. think dial up and then imagine something worse. terrible customer support which ive had to call at least 5 times every year. takes them an hour on the phone to sort it out and then give it a month or so and back to dial speeds again. just get a couple of bean cans and a bit of string. it'll be more reliable. anyway ive cancelled . it was quicker to just switch rather than spend another hour on the phone to their pony customer support team .and its cheaper and faster. good riddance

I have 2 sim only contracts with we. 2 phone lines with we. One is basic ADSL which has never failed. The other is VDSL fibre ( to the box!) So far, mobile service is very good. As for the vdsl fibre, not so good! Line drops about once a week! The waffle I have had from poorly trained general staff makes me weep. The main issue is the EE router. The WiFi struggles to keep going. My portable devices often say " connected, no internet" My smart TV dies in the middle of a Netflix movie! My desktop PC the same. Both these devices are Ethernet connected. EE have replaced the VDSL router, a total of 3 times while arguing that its my CCTV that's causing it all! Unfortunately for EE, I am the owner of a CCTV company. I install CCTV on other customers broadband. I don't get calls saying they can't log into their cameras! I have now had to buy my own ( Billion) VDSL router, which has been solid since installation! EE have offered me 50% of the £100 cost by way of a credit! As far as I'm concerned, not good enough!!! The senior support staff are polite and courteous. Its a pity they are let down by a lame router

A completely useless customer service set up. Liars and cheats.
Supposed to buyout previous bb contract but wriggle and duck and dive. Passed from pillar to post. They churn YOUR cash and are basically money launderers. Fraudsters.

I am an o2 customer and an ee. O2 are very good at answering phones and the wait in shops is very quick. EE on the other are so under staffed it's unbelievable. I've only been with them a short while and can't wait for the contract to end. They never sent a sim with my mobile broadband and after sitting in the shop for over an hour I had to leave. No-one seemed to know what they were doing.

I switched from Sky to EE as a cost saving initiative. This is the 11th day that I have been an EE customer and I still have no internet connection. My experience of the company thus far is not a very favourable one. I have been passed around from person to person and the majority of people I have spoken to do not seem to technically understand the problem. They would appear to have a series of checkboxes to tick and very restrictive boundaries to work within. I have had numerous promises broken from EE and even the phone put down on me after insisting (in an agitated manner but not abusive) on speaking to a manager. Now, after being told that I would be entitled to free cancellation when I mentioned I was going to switch to plusnet, EE customer services are disputing this saying that I would be liable for a cancellation fee of over £100.

The link below details all my interactions with EE. Apologies for the emotional tone but as you can appreciate this is incredibly frustrating for me and my family who have been unable to complete their half term holiday homework thus far.

    Absolutely diabolical service.
Was informed it would be a seem less transition from BT to EE, that was not the case, they took over the phone line knocking out our current supplier on 21st Dec, then 5 days later the Internet should have worked, but the phone line went dead.
An engineer was sent out on 31st December. So not Internet connection for 10 days.
All sorted broadband and wifi up and running, so installed the TV box, well complete waste of time, the channels are constantly jumping, can't receive channels 1-5. Retuned it so many times it's driving me mad.
Cancelling service and going With Sky. They also had the nerve to email me e a payment was due, safe to say they had an irate call which resulted in them offering me a months free service, still being cancelled as diabolical connection that does not work.

DO NOT GO WITH EE!!! I signed up with EE a few weeks ago as the 2.50 sounded very good and thought I would give it a try an then the problems began. The router never arrived then after that my sky broadband got disconnected so I was left with out broadband, I contacted EE and was told it had not even been dispatched yet! The said if I went an got a new router they will help me set it up and give me some vouchers as to apologise so off I went to get a new router came back contacted them to be told by another member or staff that they do not support 3rd party routers. Everyone I came into contact with was rude unhelpful and didn't seem to know what they was going on about. DO NOT DO IT!

If I could put zero for the above I would. My new broadband was meant to start 6 days ago. They are telling me that it will not work for a further 13 days. Here comes christmas with no broadband. I have been told conflicting reasons day after day and am fed up. I would not recommend ee to anyone!

I have been using EE/orange as my broadband provider for several years, most recently on a 38 Mb/s. My household runs everything through the internet and so we have an average usage of over 150GB/month. The service of EE has been very good, the speed remains at a pretty constant level and doesn't ever appear to be throttled back.

The 5 GHz signal on the router covers my entire house, if you gadget can us it and this will provide the full 38 MB/s. The 2.4 GHz signal will cover the house, garden and some of the road, but as there is a lot of other houses using the channel it can slow down, it usually provides around 20 MB/s but this is not really EE's fault and just the facts of the technology.

I have had a few problems with my service, the phone stopped working and my internet became direly slow <0.5 MB/s. I phone EE, after being on hold for 10 mins (7pm - weekday), was put through to customer services and quickly escalated to tier 2. The next morning at 8am BT Open Reach were at my house checking the fault. Turns out there was a fault with internal wiring as the main inlet worked fine. EE didn't charge me for this work even through BT said they would be charging EE. I have relayed my interal wires and everything is excellent again.

I have been really happy with the EE provided service so far.

    DO NOT BUY!!!

We "upgraded" to EE from Sky about 12 months ago and we have had nothing but problems with it. We don't even get download speeds of over 1mb/s and upload speeds of 0.5mb/s when they "promised" speeds of 17mb/s.

    You have been warned.

BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE! Do not join EE home broadband the customer service is shocking, I changed from TalkTalk and wish I hadn't now. I was without broadband for 3 weeks because of EE then they kept giving me different dates that it would be installed on that date I would then be given another date. Customer service are so rude and unhelpful they also lie and just are not interested in helping. I was promised credit on my account for compensation for being left without broadband then they said that I was lying about it because the rep I spoke to didn't take any notes. I will be leaving EE as soon as I can. Please any one thinking of joining avoid at all costs!!!!!

Well, here's a fine too do. I have been with EE for two years and have been looking for a better deal, so I have been reading the reviews for various providers. My only conclusion is that I am amazed that ANYONE gets any broadband connection. All the reviews seem to be negative, so here is mine for EE; A bit of a rocky start, had a couple of weeks of non-fibre broadband at the start 'cos EE said they had fibre when they hadn't, but eventually .... all was good. Download & upload speed good, the very occasional reset of the router, no more than 2 or 3 times a year and after the initial hiccup I have only had to contact support once - nice lady, based in UK, spoke English, not tech and the problem was sorted by Outreach who found the council had been setting up new street lamps and had mucked up our broad band line, All sorted. Only reason I'm thinking of leaving EE is to get 78 Mbs at three quarters of the cost.

We were promised a smooth change over by EE. It did not go to plan. They blamed Open Reach for the problem. When I spoke to 4 different customer service reps about their promise, I was either brushed off or spoken to very rudely. If you are thinking of going with EE dont bother. I literally just received a text from them to say they will provide an uodate in 5 days time, no need to call them! Really disgusting.

I changed to EE from TalkTalk at the beginning of October. I have my foll broadband speedtest records on Ookla confirming that it was around 5.0Mbps with TT. Since connection to EE the best speed was 2.5 and following my first complaint that this was much slower than TT it dropped again to less than 1.0Mbps. I complained again and the speed has dropped again to 0.5Mbps.
The last time the Tech staff expected me to disconnect the Master socket and remove the plate. Oh no. This is the same socket and configuration that worked adequately with TT!

They plead for more time of 7-10 working days.

There may be some bad press about TT but in comparison both their service and customer relations were exemplary.

Absolutely shocking customer service. Avoid at all costs!!! The free Norton virus software that you get with the broadband is a con. If you have the latest software on your Mac then the Norton is not compatible!! I have been on the phone to them for 45 minutes, passed between about 5 people all of which couldn't be bothered dealing with my complaint and so passed me to some other person to deal with. I hae been on hold for about 15 minutes and then told to call them back in about 30 mins as the systems are 'slow'. One bloke was very rude and refused to give me his name and job title, so he passed me on to someone else. Avoid!!!!!!

Changed our broadband and TV package over to EE today. Internet is fine but then I get a call saying nobody can get through on my landline. Only to find out after waiting for 25 minutes to speak to 'customer services' they've allocated us a temporary number. Without telling us. Disgraceful given that it's an emergency number for our elderly relatives. No wonder you can't get through to customer services!!!!!! A shame you can't review below one star!

I have broadband and home 'phone from EE - When they first connected the phone line, I thought all was well, I was happily making calls and the BB although slower than anticipated was OK, after a week or so I did wonder why I wasn't receiving any calls and then a friend called my mobile to say that she couldn't get through on my landline.I contacted a barely comprehensible man on their technical service desk and eventually after a number of calls (don't believe them if they say they'll call you back) the problem was fixed.

3 months later the problem has returned but it is worse this time, if you call my telephone number the call is answered by a stranger, someone I don't know, they are presumably getting my voicemails as well. The ever unhelpful technical support agents have told me (again after a number of phone calls with uninformed time wasters - "Computer says NO") that to get it fixed I need to take a day off work for an engineer to visit my home.

I can make outgoing calls OK and the caller ID shows it is my number but having called my number I got to speak to a man who confirms that his number is not the number I dialled. This is so obviously a problem in the exchange or conceivably in the street cabinet, I don't know why I need to lose a days earnings for a 'phone repair that shouldn't require access to my home.

I am told that if I cancel my contract they will charge me £72, which for a service they can't provide seems ridiculous, actually it feels like theft.

Unless you are confidant that everything will be perfect with your EE products you be mad to have anything to do with this bunch of incompetents.

Absolutely the worst customer service experience I have ever had or could ever imagine.

Wow. This company are appalling. The internet drops out about 30 times a day. Download speed is less than 1 and often even lower than that. Called the company, Indian call centre, where I guess the people are overworked and underpaid. They're unhelpful, not friendly and they don't know much. Even after we've followed the instructions of the call centre, the internet has not improved. My advce is don't touch this company, if you encounter any problems they don't care and are not interested in helping or improving.

By far the worst customer service I have ever experienced! I had my broadband cut off without any warning and although they admitted it was their fault they did very little to make this better for me. I was constantly lied to about when the service would be working again and numerous times I was told I would get a call back that never came. I would avoid this company at all costs. Much better providers out there.

Customer sevice is shocking, i ordered fibre broadband in march, i was connected in april without any change to my speed, only getting 2 mbps download and 0.37 upload.I called cutomer service who took me through all the tests they could offer,i was told to wait for 48 hrs while they done checks, i called them back went through all the checks again, still no improvement, this carried on for 2 weeks i call them they say they are looking into it. I called to cancel but they kept putting me off by saying give it a month and we will get it sorted and they would not charge me for that month. I left it for just over a month, my download speed had increased to 9 mbps and upload 4 mbps, but they had guaranteed me 27 mbps download speed,i called customer service they again made me go through all the checks again, by now i'm just about sick of all the crap they keep giving me. I asked again to cancel, they told me i had left it longer than a month before i called them back and was told if i wanted to cancel i would have to pay them just over £250.00 or have a BT engineer visit, after being told that and already been let down 2 times before by BT, i tried my best to tell them i still wanted to cancel, their attitude on the phone stunk, they were very adament i had to pay the £250.00 or have the engineer visit. I opted again for BT to visit and was told if the engineer could not speed up my broadband, then i would have to wait for another month before i was entitled to cancel for free. This time i asked for an exact date to call them if i need to cancel. I am now waiting for BT to visit, i would still like to get the best speed but on the other hand i wish i could tell them where to shove it. PLEASE AVOID EE BROADBAND.

I’ve been with EE three years now, had some issues with sky before and it was a pain to speak to their Indian support.
Had an issue once with EE when switching from sky, had to call them a few times, they’ve fixed it and gave me one month free. I’ve had fibre, then fibre plus, now I’ve signed up for fibre plus again.
It’s easy to contact them, at 8:30am I had to wait for consultant about 7 min but then around 12:30pm they’ve picked up straight away.
Sky would be £3 cheaper monthly but I’m staying with EE as it was always fine for the last three years.

I've been with sky for 3 years and it was ok, went down once as far as I remember. I'm now switching to EE as I want a router with 5Ghz wifi.
I wish I've read reviews before I've made the switch, I'm starting to panic now as the contract with EE is for 18 months.
In the email they said my broadband will be activated on 25th Nov 2015, so Sky switched off the line on 25th and EE sent me a text saying it that the EE broadband will be activated on 27th (not 25th like they said before). They switched on the phone line on 28th Nov at 8am but the broadband is still not working. I've been on multiple calls with them now and they'll be sending someone to inspect the fibre cabin and will call me back within 24h.
I'm not impressed so far, I wonder if I can still quit this contract and go back to sky?

EE broadband is so bad it beggars belief. Hard to log on to, impossible to stream due to the slowness, even rudimentary tasks cannot be performed because EE broadband does not provide the necessary speed. Approx 1.2Mbps is what I am getting. Appauling! Customer care????....what a joke. Mis-sold, mis-represented...MIS-TAKE!!!!!

Worst service ever and I used to be a loyal orange customs on my mobile contract before going to EE (since cancelled) If I hear that they are the "biggest and fastest network" again I'll strangle someone. Speeds less than 1mbps regularly to a landline which supports fibre is disgraceful!!!

Poor Network, bad customer service, buffering broadband
    AVOID AVOID AVOID
I was with Orange for over 10 years, when I came to upgrade was persuaded to move to EE the ""best and fastest network around"" I also had my broadband with Orange and that too was moved to EE, For the first 3 months I have spent more time on the phone to customer service regarding several issues for both phone and broadband (which is fibre). My FIBRE broadband is slow when using on my phone sat in my lounge, You tube takes ages to load videos, and there's only me using it at the time. I had several letters saying my bill had not been paid yet I had always paid by d/d only to find two accounts were operating so I had to give my details again, only to get a text the following month to say it had not been paid again!! guess what they had cancelled the wrong account!!!! I am now stuck with them for a damn year. I do not recommend them at all I wish I had stuck with Orange!!!

EE provide the worst broadband service in the UK...Period. Customer Service does not exist. I waste my time even ringing them because nothing, and I mean nothing improves. My broadband is so slow all the time that it is not possible to stream. Even heavily graphic web sites are super slow to download. EE you Suck!!!

Stuck in a 2 year contract... slowly coming to an end :)
Worst broadband service we've ever had.
First of all in our area you can barely get a stable 25-30MB/s connection. Second, is not at all reliable with random disconnections and router restarts throughout the day. Having to pay just over £30 for this is disgusting when we know as soon as Virgin is gonna be on the street the price is gonna drop massively due to competition. So, Monopoly at it's best. Virgin does stable 50MB/s down the road for just £21 a month.
I cannot wait the moment when I'm gonna ditch EE for something better, fairer and cheaper.

Just changed my home broadband and calls to EE from sky because I am fed up with sky's constant increase in prices despite being a light broadband user. No options to pay landline annually to bring the price down either. With EE they offered a light user deal and upfront landline deal equivalent to £11 a month!!..I am sooooo glad I didn't listen to the bad reviews...the swop over has been a breeze. I have had nothing to do except place my order. I have been informed of my order by email/text every step of the way. Customer service very helpful and polite. I was given my connection date for 23rd March and up and running perfectly. Set up easy. Saving £13 a month/£156 year 'every little helps' Thank you EE excellent service.

Awful speeds (2Mb download and 0.01 upload) and really horrendous customer service. They barely speak English, are not able to explain what they mean and make everything harder than it should be. Please, do yourself a favour and go elsewhere. I am. Even if the speed isn't their fault, the bad customer service is their fault. I would rather get the same speed but decent service elsewhere.

No one knows what they are doing , no one can help you and you just keep getting transferred. You can't even complain!! Dreadful beyond belief! : (((((
