It has come as a real shock that broadband can be as slow as this with no customer care support and no interest from EE at all once you have been duped into signing the contract. I would give no points or even minus points if I could it is that bad!

Don't go near this company, worst customer service, like to pass the blame to BT.

You need deep pockets to get basic internet/landline with these guys, the last 10 weeks after paying for service or no service they've cost me at least £125+

Everything stopped working in March 2017 after numerous calls far to many to recall, many hours being put on hold false promises of call backs, accusations from call centre staff its user error.

Eventually BT engineers sent for, apprentice arrived, nothing he could do apart to call for more experienced engineer, who caused much amusement walking up and down road for 4 hours followed by spraying square on pavement and writing BT followed by buggering off for 10 days.

Road crew then appear and dig hole of Calcutta, then inform they've dug wrong area up and have to fill in and get new planning permission to dig new hole (now mid May).

Approx week later reappear and dig up in exact same spot, mention water has damaged line, before you can blink hole filled in and like Houdini disappeared without checking line.

Telephone now reconnected with lovely crackle, internet running like the good old days of dial up, cannot stream any films - which have been paying for all along.

Lucy from EE has now been allocated case and constantly rings and likes to apologize - a lot! Told her really not happy on numerous times and 2 months has now passed. Speeds tests take place, really lose will to live, now told BT have capped the line and we are potentially liable to pay £187 for another engineer to come out, I pointed out to her that we would not pay a penny and would get the omnibusman involved.

Booked day off from work as assured by Lucy would arrived between 1 & 6pm, late afternoon call from BT unable to make it. Following day another apprentice rocks up who informs no need for him to make house call as EE have full access to uncap line from there side.

Now its the 1st June, Lucy has just rung to find out where we are at. Explained to her we now have speed to stream films but if on internet and phone rings it throws you off. Lucy feels this is OK and has now closed the case.

I enquired about compensation and have been offered £22.25, are they for real I've been made to sign up for wireless dongle and was assured once resolved account would be cancelled and full reimbursement for last couple of months.

I explained to Lucy, this was unacceptable and we would be moving to another provider, her response was 'I don't blame you'

Waste of time, go with any other provider but for gods sake avoid EE at all costs!

I joined ee to try save some money on my home broadband - I made the biggest mistake of my life. I have had to call them out 5 times and still the speed is fluctuating between 0.2 mb and 1.0 mb - totally useless - can hardly call it broadband. Their customer service is RUBBISH every time a level 1 technician answered phone he couldn't resolve it and said he would pass it on to a level 2 and they would ring me back - NEVER DID on 3 occassions Avoid EE like the plague - I can't wait to get back to VIRGIN - a million times better company

Our speed 0,25 Mbps - contract for 18 months - no possibility to cancel the contract. After time-consuming calls to EE technical support there is always improvement for 3 days so the speed is 3 Mbps, but after 3 days there is 0.25 again.

They’ll set up a broadband appointment with you two weeks in advance at the earliest, you’ll take off work to be home for the setup, then they will no-call/no-show, then they won’t do anything to fix it besides call the next day with another list of appointments you will have to take even more work off for :)

Worst, worst, worst, worst broadband I have ever used. Switched from Talk Talk thinking I was getting a better deal, but that was a huge mistake. First had it installed back in September, well they didn't connect in time so had no internet for a week. Then they said the fibre broadband doesn't work in my area AFTER I switched. At least once a week the internet stops working. Then goes back to the same rubbish speed it provides. Not enough to even download/stream content. Youtube is a no go area at times. For the past 3 weeks my internet has been the equivalent to the dial up internet from the past. Customer service staff has gone as far as to ask me to get a screw driver to unscrew my phone socket. As far as I'm concerned, you bring an engineer to my home and do what you think needs doing. After 4 awful months with EE, I'm switching back to Talk Talk. Your mobile network is just as bad by the way.

Don't waster your time with EE. After limping along with a speed of 0.2, I resorted to phoning the Helpline three times. Three times I was cut off after spending nearly an hour each time going through all the same points. They agreed the speed was slow but did nothing to help. I couldn't face anymore non Helplines so have now ditched EE & changed provider. Very happy now!

I bought this package as it was only going to cost me £2.50 a month and that I could remotely connect to my place of work. It turns out that the remote connectivity is not part of the package and it was definitely not mis-sold. You can have your £55 EE and keep your shoddy broadband and poor customer service. I'm off! I suppose you get what you pay for.

Switched over from very reliable Sky ISDN, because of the 10GB mobile data offer. Took over 2 weeks to settle down - constant dropouts/speed issues etc. Infuriating, compared to top providers. But a month on, the speed is constantly 20 mbps (advertised as 13),and the router/modem seems to have a better range than the cheapo Sky box. Seems a good bargain for £21 (so far). Haven't had to talk to customer support, as yet.

I am absolutely disgusted at the way the staff treated my 78 year old nanna and 80 year grandad. They where so confused as they didnt understand phone talk they where talked into two contract phones they only went in to have someone fix my nannas phone and after 3 hours they forced them into two contracts and even changing there landline making there bill nearly £100! My grandad went in four times because he didn't understand why his phone wouldn't work he then tried to cancel it and was told he had to call in which he has done now he has to turn his original phone off as he's received countless nasty texts and horrible phone calls DO NOT USE EE!

AS simple as this... I am trying to upload a 289mb file to google drive. it has taken an a hour and is only at 85% I can't use the internet for anything else, no browsing, facebook or anything else. (forget about watching video). this happens when uploading any large file to any website. It is just terrible.

Appalling speed having left talk talk. Customer services - wait at least 30mins even then not guaranteed to getting through. Basically conned into a cheaper service now getting speeds of 2-3mps. The disastrous reviews say it all. Think they probably make their money based on termination charges as the service is so bad.

If you want a nervous breakdown, choose EE.
The promised service was so terrible it barely worked. So bad the mobile service, my bank was unable to send me texts. They put my number in the telephone directory, despite my ex directory request. They then refused to remove it. They took direct debits which were never set up. They offered me derisory compensation, including refund of the direct debit, which I reluctantly accepted. They then ignored my reply. Then, after emailing endlessly, they sent me an email saying it was time it was sorted out!!!! I agreed the terms again. They next day they withdrew the offer and told me to go to the ombudsman. They are a disgusting bunch, shameful and unprofessional. If you want misery, get EE because that is all you will get!!!!

Dont use them if you want to move house. Go for virgin or sky as EE moving process is rubbish in my experience.I work full time and am used to getting calls from delivery companies before they deliver so i can go home and not have to take the day off. Sadly EE cant offer this service as they are unable to talk to the engineers. So tomorrow i have to wait in for the enginner from 8-1.

Ok, I wish there was an option to give ZERO stars to especially the 'Broadband reliability' and 'Speed' and 'Customer Service' who kept telling me that my ''laptop was slow'', ''there are too many devices using wifi at the same time'' (and by too many they meant the TWO that I was using) Overall after a year through my contract the internet speed was a JOKE! I kept complaining all the time but when I finally was so resigned and outraged with the level of customer service, I stopped calling at all (WASTE OF TIME AND ENERGY as they never DO ANYTHING, just talk and blame YOUR devices, YOUR address, YOUR whatever!) So when I called them last month and complained about the rubbish speed of my internet and I demanded a refund for the service that, ultimately, I WAS NOT getting, they told me that because I had not called since December, they can't issue me with a refund!!! So make sure you call them every single day and complain each and every time you have a problem! EVERY DAY! The 'regular' customer service people always gave me the attitude that I did not appreciate so on further occasions I always wanted to speak to a manager! The managers have always been much more professional when talking to me but there was NEVER a good solution to my problem. I called and called on numerous occasions and finally they decided to send an 'engineer' over....OH MY GOD!!! I felt like some weight had been lifted off my shoulders...until he arrived. Knelled down to the socket, dismantled it, checked the cables, ran the BT WHOLESALE SPEED TEST on his tablet and said ''all is fine, speed 5.4'' I protested and checked if my smart TV was connecting to the wifi and after 2 minutes or so it displayed the very familiar message ''cannot connect to your network'' and as soon as it did that, I ran the BT WHOLESALE SPEED TEST again and it showed speed of 2.3 - to sum up within the 5minutes that the engineer was in my house the speed dropped from 5.4 to 2.3 !!! you know what the engineer did? he said he had to go to another job and that there was no fault with my service!!!
I could go on and on and on but I don't want to waste any more of my precious energy on EE - THEY ARE RUBBISH! I have just switched to Plusnet and hope I will be getting not only better internet speed but also better customer service!
I still have my two mobile phones with EE but am looking into switching too! Enough is enough!

Well how do I start? I have been with EE for 12 years and had always received 2.4Mb down broadband with a sync speed of between 3 and 3.4mb for all this time until 8th august 2016 when my internet folded. I contacted them and they said they would check the line from there end after about 15 minutes they stated the line is fine, I then told them 0.47mb is not the correct speed for my line and there is a fault it took me 8 more weeks for the customer service reps to believe me that something was wrong and an engineer was sent out the engineer stated nothing was wrong and that 1.9mb sync was fine for my line even though I have screen shots showing having previously been receiving a 3.4mb sync speed. The engineer went and I had constant disconnections for about two weeks. Another engineer was called and this time he changed my drop wire from the pole to house and still it keeps disconnecting. and to this date has not been fixed and the excuse from EE is its within the allowed range. So you can have 2.4mb broadband for 10 years but when it drops to 1.4mb this is fine when clearly there is still a fault but openreach will not fix it. So my only alternative is to explore mobile broadband as my cable is to long to even get fibre.

Dreadful Broadband. Just so so so bad, just so so so slow. Just unbelievable. Just does not work! Often cannot log on! Cannot use more than one device and with just the one it is impossible to stream, emails are slow, impossible to do attachments, very very slow to download anything. In fact this is not an ISP as we know it..... it is a total and absolute sham!!!!

EE has been the worst provider I've ever been with they say there bright box 2 is amazing when it can't send signals up only straight and they stated I'd get 72mbs real sale 13mbs,
Customer service team are just out of this world rude and don't right insulting. I asked for an engineer to come out and the only availability they gave me was for 3weeks and still charged me for no Internet. Overall use as a company I give them 1/10 never again and I'm constantly spreading the word!

I've had a dreadful experience of upgrading through EE. First the installation refused to put the line where I wanted 'due to covid' but said if I complained EE would send him back out to move the line. EE wouldn't do this and instead sent an engineer out he said the line should be moved. EE rejected this request (from the engineer they sent out!). So I enquired about the cooling off period and was told they could not return me to my old service once connected with a new line. The only option would involve being without broadband for 2 weeks which would mean loss of work for. In short I've ended up with a slower connection, the TV doesn't work properly and I have had to fork out for Hardwear to try and rectify this. Don't upgrade through EE, just go elsewhere.

EE is Abysmal. ABSOLUTELY ABYSMAL!!!! Often I simply cannot log on! Then downloads hover around the 1Megabite per second mark. Unbelievable! All that I was promised has not materialised. I cannot use one device, let alone mulitples. I often cannot access my emails. It is impossible to watch a video and as for linkin up with my Amazon FireStick....well that's hit and miss, with buffering, freezing and always defaulting to the most basic definition. I have quite literally lost count of the number of times that I have complained to their idea of a customer services section. Nothing....but NOTHING GETS DONE!!! In a Nutshell... EE is absolutely ABYSMAL!!! I cannot wait to get out of contract. I may even pay to exit, that is how numbingly bad EE is!!!

I had been having Standard broadband with EE for a while and had been pleading with them to upgrade my service to Fibre for well over 6 Months. I finally got tired of them with the low standard broadband speeds in the low range as they were not going to upgrade the area to Fibre connections anytime soon. While Virgin Media was serving our neighbourhood with the top speed Fibre Connection. I had no choice but to switch to Virgin Media and I am now enjoying top of the line Fibre Broadband speeds from Virgin. But when i switched Provider's over, EE is now claiming a big disconnect fee from me ! Firstly EE was UNABLE to provide me with the Fibre Service and hence I had to switch providers and I have a justified TECHNICAL reason for switching over. So how can EE still demand disconnect and outstanding on contract fees !! This is Daylight Robbery from EE !

THINK CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU SIGN UP. Always had good service from EE on mobile phone so decided to go with them for broadband and landline. Complained about interference on landline and broadband interruptions several times a day and 10 days later after no contact I ring them again to be told that they have made an appointment for the next day - well no-one told me and the member of staff on that occasion was very pleasant and helpful and promised to ring back with confirmed new appointment. Later have a message from a different member of staff advising that the engineers had been unable to access the property due to snow and ice - a lie, the milkman, the postman and I, a mere woman driver, had been in and out several times. Engineer said he rang but line blocked to unknow numbers (true) but left no message. This member of staff then proceed to treat me in the most condescending manner telling me to alter the settings to make my phone more available and that I should call back in a few days to make a new appointment when the weather improves 'because you know my dear, they have large vans' She is obviously unaware that I drive a 7.5 ton lorry in good weather or bad. She was unaware of my conversation some two hours previously with a different member of staff. Whilst she was polite her lack of up to date knowledge and her condescending manner are unacceptable and the service the same. Time for a change.

EE consistently keeps dropping and loosing wifi connection. I bought a smart tv few months ago and only used it once to watch catch up because it's persistently goes off and looses the programme. I also watched Netflix and it's impossible to watch a movie. After 5pm their download speed drops to almost nothing - they do advertise that they drop download speed but I didn't think it would be this bad ie difficult to watch a YouTube clip.
My router is in my lounge..I loose wifi in my bathroom (8meter away) and loose wifi in my bedroom(15 meter away).. I had to buy another router for upstairs. It ain't the area I love in because all internet providers I've had in the past have been fine in every room. It's basically EE's connection. I've called them a few times but given up as I keep hearing the same answers. Basically I'm stuck with this horrendous service!

I'll make things real simple. If you want to log on quick, if you want fast downloads, if you want reliable download speeds, if you want to get to your inbox fast, if you want to download and upload fast, if you want to watch TV reruns, if you want to watch/stream videos, if you use a Amazon firestick, in fact if you want any kind of decent Broadband.....then DO NOT GO TO EE BROADBAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I made a big mistake in my life to change to EE broadband. I had sky, ,virgin, talktalk and BT never had any probleam. First two days its worked as fiberoptic broadband then its worst worst than normal broadband. I call the customer service and they done all the test and then they arrange for the BT engineer. I waited for first day no one turned up. Call the customer service no sorry nothing they said engineer come on monday. Waited all day no one came. I wanted to cancel and they want me to pay £350. Now I have request all my friends who is with EE . They all came up with lots of complaints. The T-mobile has lost lot of money from lyca mobil and they want to get all the money back from the customers.

I am limited to ADSL broadband and use to be with Sky Connect who gave 6mb off peak which dropped to less than 1mb between 5pm til midnight which rendered it useless! The switchover from Sky to EE was painless, having received their Brightbox router in the post in good time. The wireless Brightbox router performs much better than Sky's and I now get speeds of between 9-15mb 24/7 so i'm very satified indeed considering it's ADSL.

This is the worst customer service encountered for a long time, possibly ever. If you have any problem with your Internet service from EE expect seriously bad service, particularly if it involves them having to work with BT to sort the issue out. Also, their attitude to one customer with one issue is appalling, although you might not initially realise you are just being fobbed off, at the time, you do so after a while, as you come to know you are getting nowhere in trying to get your problem sorted. EE are massively defensive about their service and I think they may have deluded themselves that it is acceptable. I would advise any prospective customer to be extremely cautious about using EE, because of the very bad experience I have had with them.

Worst internet ever. I pay £30 a month for 72 mps so that online games are completely unplayable, I live in the city centre and my ping on eu servers no matter what game I play is in the 90's and 100's most of the time. Downloading anything takes way longer than they should (took me 8 hours to download league of legends). Watching any movies or videos is pointless as it always ends up stopping and buffering even on low quality. I've asked for help from ee many times and all they've done is basically shrug me off every time. No. 1 internet service provider my bumhole.
