Absolutely shocking service. They advertise 1mbps upload speeds and when they turn out to not exist (given the upload is basically non-existant) they say it's not a promise.
Terrible company, don't sign a contract with them.

We were persuaded to change to EE as it would have saved us money from our previous provider for the same service. The router was tiny and the signal was absolutely terrible. They also wouldn’t let us leave our contract so we had to get a new provider to pay out our contract. I can’t stress how bad the internet was.

Ee as a company don't look after their customers as I have been with them nearly 14 years as it was orange before.Trying to cut off all my contracts with them as I got three mobiles contacts and one line rental plus the broadband.

Moved here six months ago and had constant problems, apparently the line to this community is ancient and needs replacing so our speeds are rubbish and very inconsistent download speed often crashes and our neighbours told by BT that we will have to fund a new cable ourselves, so what are we paying line rental for ? a knackered old cable shared by several houses.

Think we must have paid the few ‘customers’ who have provided a good review on here or they are written by their own staff or something. My experience as most others - dreadful. Switched from BT - No router turned up leaving me without any broadband for 2 weeks as they don’t have any way of sending the equipment faster than 2nd class Royal Mail - I am not joking - ee do not use any courier or even 1st class post - not even when they have royally screwed up your order - you have been warned - and if you complain the response is extremely nonchalant- oh well these things happen I think were the exact words and compensation is a £15 credit for the next bill of the service they have failed to provide. This is a true a true story I had to make special arrangements with my place of work to go into the offices which were closed increasing my risk of contracting covid because ee can’t pay for a courier

I've had a dreadful experience of upgrading through EE. First the installation refused to put the line where I wanted 'due to covid' but said if I complained EE would send him back out to move the line. EE wouldn't do this and instead sent an engineer out he said the line should be moved. EE rejected this request (from the engineer they sent out!). So I enquired about the cooling off period and was told they could not return me to my old service once connected with a new line. The only option would involve being without broadband for 2 weeks which would mean loss of work for. In short I've ended up with a slower connection, the TV doesn't work properly and I have had to fork out for Hardwear to try and rectify this. Don't upgrade through EE, just go elsewhere.

Rubbish service.
EE has to provide a minimum of 3.4Mbps but sometimes, in the evenings, is less than 0.19Mbps (even 0.08 as well). They do not accept to brake the contract but want you to pay till the end of the contract. They know that speed is out of T&C's but they know as well that it will cost time and money to follow the legal procedure. (Crooks)

If you want a nervous breakdown, choose EE.
The promised service was so terrible it barely worked. So bad the mobile service, my bank was unable to send me texts. They put my number in the telephone directory, despite my ex directory request. They then refused to remove it. They took direct debits which were never set up. They offered me derisory compensation, including refund of the direct debit, which I reluctantly accepted. They then ignored my reply. Then, after emailing endlessly, they sent me an email saying it was time it was sorted out!!!! I agreed the terms again. They next day they withdrew the offer and told me to go to the ombudsman. They are a disgusting bunch, shameful and unprofessional. If you want misery, get EE because that is all you will get!!!!

I arranged the service but it never worked properly from the start. I had 4 engineers visit but couldn't diagnose the problem. I made 3 or 4 calls per week to their customer services since Jan. I cancelled in April and they are billing me £546.58 cancellation charges for a service that didn't work and didnt meet the contractual standards. This is woeful

Very unreliable broadband. Very slow and WiFi keeps dropping out. EE have told us that as far as they are concerned it is fine so it must be a fault our end. No further “help” given.
However, after 5 days without internet we tried BTFON pay as you go. Brilliant speed. No loss of WiFi signal, even in the attic. Therefore definitely not our end!
Goodbye EE. We are off to greener pastures with better WiFi. Such a shame because your mobile phone service is great.

THINK CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU SIGN UP. Always had good service from EE on mobile phone so decided to go with them for broadband and landline. Complained about interference on landline and broadband interruptions several times a day and 10 days later after no contact I ring them again to be told that they have made an appointment for the next day - well no-one told me and the member of staff on that occasion was very pleasant and helpful and promised to ring back with confirmed new appointment. Later have a message from a different member of staff advising that the engineers had been unable to access the property due to snow and ice - a lie, the milkman, the postman and I, a mere woman driver, had been in and out several times. Engineer said he rang but line blocked to unknow numbers (true) but left no message. This member of staff then proceed to treat me in the most condescending manner telling me to alter the settings to make my phone more available and that I should call back in a few days to make a new appointment when the weather improves 'because you know my dear, they have large vans' She is obviously unaware that I drive a 7.5 ton lorry in good weather or bad. She was unaware of my conversation some two hours previously with a different member of staff. Whilst she was polite her lack of up to date knowledge and her condescending manner are unacceptable and the service the same. Time for a change.

I recently switched my FTTC line from Plusnet (with the Plus addon) to EE. EE sent a new router so I decided to try it in place of my Asus AC68U router. The broadband speed improved immediately from about 19MBps to about 23Mbps. But the reliability has gone down. I have had several interruptions, and large downloads sometimes take forever or fail. The WiFi range of the EE router is also not as good as the AC68U.

This internet is an absolute travesty. It is vile. Never, no matter how cheap the deal is, never side with EE. I'm am now stuck with what is the most awful internet I've ever had. Internet from 10 years ago would trump this broadband. Never go with EE.

Overall Broadband speed is ok but I sometimes lose signal if I'm in the kitchen or bathroom. My biggest gripe however is the lies that they tell you. I was told that there wouldn't be a deposit as I'm already with EE which is why I chose them in the first place so imagine my shock when my first bill went out and it was £73! That was after having my broadband up and running after for only 3 days with the month before being without it working as the work hadnt been done on any of the days it was supposed to be done. I also set up for my bill to go out on the 8th of each month so I know I have the money to pay it which is why they set it up for the 5th instead

I was moving from SE London to Aylesbury. It is a new built area so EE does not provide broadband in that area of Aylesbury as Openreach doesn't serve the property.
I could not find the property in Openreach's broadband availability checker hence, asked them to raise this with Openreach, they said they will
investigate internally, there was complete silence from them for the next few days. Every time I called them, they kept asking me for the new address I was moving to. I told them it should be
on your file because you are investigating this. They said it's not on their file, there is no mention of the address on the system and their notes but the back end team has it.
I could not understand how it was not on their file
when they were actually investigating this. I used to work for an ISP and I know how the system works,
finally I had to raise a complint with them and they agreed to raise with Openreach. In a couple of days they got back to me saying
they cannot supply broadband at the property. Had they raised this with Openreach on day one all this drama could have been avoided.
I am trying to highlight the fact their members of staff are lacking good customer service skills, also when a customer tells them they are moving to
a particular property the address should be entered on the system and the customer should not have to repeat the address like a broken tape recorder.
Very poor customer service.

Over-priced, incredibly slow and EE teams that are very difficult to pin down what is happening / why it's terrible. When I asked to leave they all said that they understand why and they are surprised at how long I have stayed given how terrible it is. Even leaving - they have made it so difficult - my new provider will do it / i should have done it - here is a bill for last month even though you thought you'd left etc. Good news when you're really messed around they offer you a £15 voucher towards a bill that you don't think you should be paying anyway!

Been with EE for 3yrs - needed wifi calling and no mobile reception where we are. 3-5mb download speed, poor, but typical for area. Everything was fine until I got a fault on the line, and again and again and again. The Customer services are very polite but utterly powerless to correct faults. 10+ weeks without phone and internet whilst trying to self isolate. I've had legal threats from organisations I who money too on top of financial stress of not being able to work online or manage any of my financial affairs. EE response - we are not obliged to pay compensation so we won't. EE are not a serious business - just sharks. Super quick to take your money, but no intention to actually provide a service. Ofcom needs to pull its finger out and FORCE these zombie businesses to behave like a serious essential utility provider or put them out of business.

If I could give negative stars, I would.
Being with EE is like pulling teeth. It's like a full time job except you have to pay them. In short - it's excruciating.
Speed is atrocious. Router drops connection at almost the exact same time every day. Sometimes it stays down for days. Customer support says nothing is wrong. Well, they're wrong.
Of course, they're more than happy to keep taking our money, even though they provide no service whatsoever, other than an obnoxious flashing yellow light.
If I could eradicate one thing from this earth, it would be EE. They are toxic. Do yourself a favour and avoid them. Avoid a lifetime of hardship and stress. It just isn't worth it.

I thought Post Office was bad but EE's taken it to the next mile of bad.
With Post Office, the internet would be inconsistent but EE it stays on apart from when it restarts but I've noticed my room is a Wifi Blackspot so a couple of weeks ago restarted toe router to try to eradicate the blackspot. Unless Argos and YouTube were down simultaneously, my room has just today returned to being a Wifi Blackspot. At least whenever the Post Office wifi was working, it would work in my room but I've had a blackspot in my room occur after the 14 day period. The first time i restarted it fixed. i thought this happened again when i was on discord and messages weren't reading, turns out the channel i was on got deleted. today youtube would buffer and argos wasn't refreshing so i had to turn off my ipad wifi and was like Oh bother, here we go with my room now being officially classed as a wifi blackspot again.

We’ve been waiting for the broadband to be connected since the end of August. After numerous calls, engineer appointments that never happened, it was raised to the head office after an official complaint was sent to EE. I had a call back today (7th week since we ordered it) to be told that this order is not going through because it got stuck SOMEWHERE and needs to be cancelled and that the new order will be placed today, HOPEFULLY connected in 2 weeks.. Team on the phone is well trained to sound nice, just about it. I wish I came across these reviews before..

I can't give a star rating for broadband speed and reliability as I didn't get that far.
Promised that they would try to get me fibre and would call me if there was a problem.
No call, cancelled my current service and I've had to use mobile data to get internet.
No apology or acceptance or responsibility for leaving me with no broadband despite complaints. Avoid at all costs.

They’ll set up a broadband appointment with you two weeks in advance at the earliest, you’ll take off work to be home for the setup, then they will no-call/no-show, then they won’t do anything to fix it besides call the next day with another list of appointments you will have to take even more work off for :)

I think most of the clowns on here live in a parallel universe!
I have nothing but praise for EE. My broadband has always been fine but the customer service is such that if I did encounter an issue and let's face it s..t happens then I'm confident that it would be sorted in a timely manner.
All I can say is that if you speak to people in a courteous manner then you'll get a better response than if you go off on one.
Ring any bells ????

Been with EE for over 3 years for internet, I started on a basic £17pm package on an 18 month contract. My speeds were/are abysmal, topping out at 15mbps on a good day but this was manageable. Once my contract was up, I started to pay £22pm on a rolling contract (OK, I guess new customer deals not applicable for me anymore) that's fine. Forward to January 2020, without informing me at all, my monthly price had shot up to £32pm.... For 10mbps! The problem with this is not only am I paying fibre optic prices for low speeds, but they didn't even tell me. Currently, its July 2020 and I have over £100 of debt on my account! I explained it to them but they seemed disinterested. I set up a payment plan to clear the balance. However, immediately after getting off the phone to them, I realised my speeds had been restricted to less than 1mbps (pretty much unusable) I called them up to discuss this and they said there was nothing they could do. Believe me when I say: Never trust this provider. They will over charge, increase bills without telling you and restrict your already weak Internet service. I don't know how they continue to get customers with this business model. Absolutely the worst ISP I've ever had contact with, avoid at all costs. They will rip you off, especially once you are a loyal customer. I'm pretty disgusted with them and I'm writing this on as many review websites as possible so more people are aware of their scams. Beware!

Probably the worst isp in the history of humanity.
They will take your money, sell your details on to third parties, and in return... nothing. You want to connect to the internet? Tough. This is EE, an internet service provider that does not provide internet service. Just a stupid box with a flashing yellow light. How this is legal I do not know...

Connection just drops randomly, usually at night when we need to use it most. EE of course say there's absolutely nothing wrong, sometimes they'll send us a new router which doesn't help, because the problem is obviously on their end.
I honestly cannot comprehend the stupidity of these people, though it feels more like malice at this point.
If you are reading this, AVOID EE!!
I repeat - AVOID EE!
They are the worst isp in the entire world. I'm barely 25, yet I'm already turning grey because these people are stressing me out so much. Daylight robbery. These people are nothing short of criminals.
To summarise: EE are the worst isp in the world. Avoid them like the plague.
